Indrek Tustit (born 25 January 1978 in Kuressaare) is an Estonian track and field athlete, coach and physiotherapist. In 2001 he graduated from the University of Tartu in physical therapy speciality. 1995-2007 he become 8-times Estonian champion in different running disciplines (individual). 2013-2018 he was one of the coaches of Gerd Kanter. Since 2018 he is a coach of Magnus Kirt Magnus Kirt (born 10 April 1990) is an Estonian retired athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He won the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. Kuressaare
Kuressaare () is a town on Saaremaa island in Estonia. It is the administrative centre of Saaremaa Parish and the capital of Saare County. Kuressaare is the westernmost town in Estonia. The recorded population on 1 January 2018 was 13,276. The town is situated on the southern coast of Saaremaa island, facing the Gulf of Riga of the Baltic Sea, and is served by the Kuressaare Airport, Roomassaare harbour, and Kuressaare yacht harbour. Gerd Kanter
Gerd Kanter (born 6 May 1979) is a retired Estonian discus thrower. He was the 2007 World Champion in the event and won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and bronze in London 2012. His personal best throw of 73.38 m is the Estonian record and the third best mark of all time. He made his first Olympic appearance in 2004 and established himself a year later by taking the silver medal at the 2005 World Championships. He was runner-up at the 2006 European Athletics Championships and won further medals at the World Championships in 2009 (bronze) and 2011 (silver). He won the 2012 and the 2013 IAAF Diamond League in discus throw. Career He competed at the 2004 Olympics, but did not reach the final. Magnus Kirt (born 10 April 1990) is an Estonian retired athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He won the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. His personal best of 90.61 m is the Estonian record. Career He competed at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing without qualifying for the final. On 3 June 2018 he broke former world champion Andrus Värnik's long-standing national record with 88.45 m at the 54th Gustav Sule memorial competition in Tartu. He then threw 88.73 m on 5 June 2018 at Paavo Nurmi Games. On 13 July 2018 he further improved at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Rabat, taking the national record and meeting record to 89.75 m. Sport plays an important role in Estonian culture. Estonia first competed as a nation at the 1920 Summer Olympics, although the National Olympic Committee was established in 1923. Estonian athletes took part at every Olympic Games until the country was annexed by the Soviet Union in 1940. The 1980 Summer Olympics sailing regatta was held in the capital city Tallinn. Estonia has won most of its Olympic medals in wrestling, athletics, weightlifting, and cross-country skiing.
