Indrani Perera ( Sinhala:ඉන්ද්රානි පෙරේරා: born 15 February), is a Sri Lankan singer and playback singer. Indrani along with Clarence Wijewardena and Annesley Malewana are known as "The Original Sinhala Pop Trio". Early life She was born on 15 February in Borella, and is the second of three girls in the family. Her father, Abeypala Perera was a Buddhist and mother, Muriel Perera was a Christian. She has one elder sister, Mallika and one younger sister, Iranganie. Indrani studied at Presbyterian Girls School in Regent Street. She studied Kandyan Dancing in the school. Her sister Mallika has been singing since 1965 where she was the playback singer for the film ''Sama''. She is married to James Sri Nivasan in 1979. She met him during the production of his song ''Ha Ha Hore Danuna'', where he was the Lotus Disc producer. The couple has one daughter, Anjalie Charukeshi and one son, Pastor Nimendra Dhananjaya. Borella is the largest suburb in Colombo, Sri Lanka represented by divisional code 8. Demographic Borella is a multi-religious and multi-ethnic area. Baminnahennadige Dinakshie Priyasad (born 18 March 1990) ( Sinhala: දිනක්ෂි ප්රියසාද්) is a Sri Lankan actress and television presenter. Priyasad made her acting debut at the age of two in the film ''Apaye Thathpara 84,000'' directed by her father Dinesh Priyasad. Early life Dinakshie Priyasad was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 18 March 1990. She is the first of three daughters for Dinesh Priyasad and Shirani Priyasad. Desmond Anaclitus Rajiva de Silva ( ඩෙස්මන්ඩ් ද සිල්වා in inhala 13 July 1944 – 9 January 2022), popularly known as Desmond de Silva, was a Sri Lankan singer, background musician and entertainer. Often regarded as the "King of Baila", he is noted for his youthful voice that was said to have changed little over four decades of performing. Annesley Malewana () ( Sinhala: ඇනස්ලි මාලේවන) is a Sri Lankan musician. Often considered "The Prince of Sinhala Pop", Malewana is well known for being a master of contemporary Baila worked with popular musical bands The Moonstones and Super Golden Chimes. Personal life Malewana was born on 13 June 1947, in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka and attended St. Joseph's College, Colombo. He is married to Swarnamali and the couple has one son and one daughter. Musical career Upon leaving school, he met Clarence Wijewardena, and the two formed the group Moonstones in 1966.
