Indonesian Cricket Team
The Indonesia national cricket team is the men's team that represents the country of Indonesia in international cricket. Cricket in Indonesia is governed by Cricket Indonesia (formerly the Indonesia Cricket Foundation). Cricket Indonesia became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and an ICC members, associate member in 2017. Cricket Indonesia is charged with the promotion and development of cricket in Indonesia, and is a member of the ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) development region. In 2006, the organisation announced their intention to join the Asian Cricket Council, and were originally included in the draw for the ACC Trophy, although their membership of the ACC was rejected and they did not take part in the tournament. Indonesian Cricket Association (Indonesian: ''Persatuan Cricket Indonesia)'' abbreviated as PCI is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Indonesia. Its current headquarters is in Jakarta, Indonesia. Cricket Indonesia is responsible for the promotion and development of cricket in Indonesia. 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup
The 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup was held in Vanuatu between 23 and 29 September 2005 as part of the qualification for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Six teams from the East Asia-Pacific Region competed in a round-robin stage, followed by ranking finals. Japan defeated the Cook Islands in a close final held at Club Hippique in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Both finalists qualified for the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy; the other four teams had their World Cup hopes dashed six years before the final competition. The 2011 ICC EAP Trophy Division 2 was played between 2–8 April 2011 in Apia, Samoa. The tournament was a Twenty20 competition. 2009 ICC EAP Trophy Division Two
The 2009 East Asia-Pacific Trophy was an international cricket tournament played in ODI format at Apia, Samoa between 19 and 25 September 2009. Eight men's national teams participated in the tournament which was split into two divisions; the three nations from the World Cricket League played in division one, and the remaining five nations played in division two. In the division one competition, after a round robin group stage of four matches, Papua New Guinea easily beat the Fiji in the final. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 over (cricket), overs. Together with first-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level.
