Indonesian Airlines (PT Indonesian Airlines Aviapatria) was an airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It operated domestic services. The Transportation Ministry in February 2007 delayed license revocation of 11 idle airlines, including Indonesian Airlines, to give restructuring opportunities to the operators. History The airline was established in 1999 and started operations in March 2001. In September 1999 it had won a government licence to provide scheduled services on 46 routes. It is owned by private investors (75%) and Rudy Setyopurnomo (25%), President Director of the airline. Indonesian Airlines ceased operations in 2003, for reasons unspecified, and had its Air Operating Certificate revoked after the February 2007 Transportation Ministry recall. Garuda Indonesia
Garuda Indonesia is the flag carrier of Indonesia, headquartered at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport near Jakarta. A successor of KLM Interinsulair Bedrijf, it is a member of SkyTeam airline alliance and the second-largest airline of Indonesia after Lion Air, operating scheduled flights to a number of destinations across Asia, Europe, and Australia from its hubs, focus cities, as well as other cities for Hajj. It is the only Indonesian airline that flies to European airspace. Jenderal Ahmad Yani International Airport is an airport serving the city of Semarang, in Central Java, Indonesia. The airport is named in honor of Ahmad Yani (1922–1965), who is a National Hero of Indonesia. , it was one of the fastest-growing airports in the world by growth percentage. The airport is operated by PT Angkasa Pura I, a state enterprise of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation that manages airports in the eastern part of the country. The Boeing 727 is an American Narrow-body aircraft, narrow-body airliner that was developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After the heavier Boeing 707, 707 quad-jet was introduced in 1958, Boeing addressed the demand for shorter flight lengths from smaller airports.
