The ''Indiana Jones'' franchise has appeared in many comic books. Marvel Comics initially held the comic book licensing rights before they were acquired by Dark Horse Comics in 1990. Marvel published adaptations of the films ''Raiders of the Lost Ark'', ''Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom'', and ''Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'', while Dark Horse adapted the ''Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis'' video game, ''The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles'' television series, and ''Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull''. William Francis Messner-Loebs (; born William Francis Loebs Jr., February 19, 1949) is an Americans, American comics artist and writer from Michigan, also known as Bill Loebs and Bill Messner-Loebs. His hyphenated surname is a combination of his and his wife Nadine's maiden name, unmarried surnames. In the 1980s and 1990s he wrote runs of series published by DC Comics, Image Comics, Comico: The Comic Company, Comico, and other comics publishers, including DC's superhero series Flash (comics), ''Flash'' and ''Wonder Woman'' among others. Lee Marrs (born September 5, 1945) is an American cartoonist and animator, and one of the first female underground comix creators. She is best known for her comic book series ''The Further Fattening Adventures of Pudge, Girl Blimp'', which lasted from 1973 to 1977. Work Early career Lee Marrs grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, and attended American University, graduating in 1967 with a degree in fine arts. During her time at American University, Marrs was introduced to comic strip artist Tex Blaisdell by his daughter, with whom she attended school.
