The Independentist Sardinian Party (''Partidu Sardu Indipendentista'', PSIn) was a minor separatist and democratic-socialist political party in Sardinia, Italy. This is the list of political parties in Sardinia, Italy. No party has ever had the chance of gaining power alone and thus parties must work with each other to form coalition governments. The political parties are currently organized mainly in two political/electoral alliances at the regional level: a centre-right coalition mainly composed of the Brothers of Italy, the Sardinian Reformers and Forza Italia, and a centre-left coalition formed around the Democratic Party and the Five Star Movement. Sardigna Natzione Indipendentzia ("For the Independence of the Sardinian Nation"), also known as Sardigna Natzione or SN, is a minor separatist and socialist political party in Sardinia, Italy. Its long-time leader is Bustianu Cumpostu. History The party was founded by Anghelu Caria in 1994, in continuity with the Independentist Sardinian Party (PSIn), of which Caria had been founder and leader. After Caria's sudden death, Bustianu Cumpostu was elected new leader by defeating Gavino Sale, who would lead the party's left-wing faction for five years, before leaving in 2001.
