''In Nomine Satanis/Magna Veritas'' is a French role-playing game, created by Croc. In Nomine Satanis ("In Satan's Name") was the Demonic player's guide and Magna Veritas ("The Great Truth") was the Angelic player's guide. ''In Nomine Satanis/Magna Veritas'' (often abbreviated as INS/MV) was first designed by the French company Siroz, available in its fourth edition. The French edition of the game was stopped in 2006, with the publication of the sourcebook ''On Ferme !'' (meaning "We close!"). The game relates the events told in the Bible in a somewhat parodical fashion, and explains the existence of other religions and magic with a sense of humor. The backdrop for the game is the modern world, but one where angels and demons incarnate themselves in human bodies in order to fight for good or evil. The h2g2 website is a British-based collaborative online encyclopedia project. It describes itself as "an unconventional guide to life, the universe, and everything", in the spirit of the fictional publication ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'' from the science fiction comedy series of the same name by Douglas Adams. It was founded by Adams in 1999 and was run by the BBC between 2001 and 2011. ''Magia i Miecz'' (; ''Magic and Sword'') was a Polish magazine dedicated to RPG games. It was the first and longest existing magazine of this type in the country. It was published in 1993–2002 by Wydawnictwo MAG. It was a precursor of RPG in Poland and was influential in propagating and popularizing RPGs in the state. In 2014 the rights for the name was bought by Kuźnia Gier publisher and the magazine as again available for a few years. ''GURPS In Nomine'' is the GURPS (third edition) adaptation of the ''In Nomine'' role-playing game. Contents ''GURPS In Nomine'' involves powerful angels and demons as player characters. It contains conversion material for the core rules as well as selected supplemental rules, and is actually longer than the original book by sixteen pages, or one signature. It also includes information about the Grigori and their resonance, as well as the Fallen Grigori (also known as Skulkers), which has not yet appeared in the original line. The conversion guidelines in the back can convert both to and from GURPS and the original system. The ''Generic Universal Role Playing System'', or ''GURPS'', is a tabletop role-playing game system published by Steve Jackson Games. The system is designed to run any genre using the same core mechanics. The core rules were first written by Steve Jackson and published in 1986, at a time when most such systems were story- or genre-specific. Since then, four editions have been published. The current line editor is Sean Punch. Sessions are run by a game master (GM), who controls the world and adjudicates the rules, with any number of players controlling the actions of a character. In Nomine is a title given to a large number of pieces of English polyphonic, predominantly instrumental music, first composed during the 16th century. History This "most conspicuous single form in the early development of English consort music" originated in the early 16th century from a six-voice mass composed before 1530 by John Taverner on the plainchant ''Gloria Tibi Trinitas''. In the ''Benedictus'' section of this mass, the Latin phrase "in nomine Domini" was sung in a reduced, four-part counterpoint, with the plainchant melody in the meane part. At an early point, this attractive passage became popular as a short instrumental piece, though there is no evidence that Taverner himself was responsible for any of these arrangements.
