''In Tune Monthly'' is an American magazine that seeks to enrich the band, orchestra, choral and general music curriculum. It is written for middle and high school music students, for whom it is typically purchased by music educators. It is also sold in some musical instrument and equipment stores and can be purchased online. Music educators who teach middle and high school, and are members of thNational Association for Music Education receive subscriptions to ''In Tune''’s teacher edition as a benefit of membership. The teacher edition of the magazine includes a teacher’s guide that contains supplementary information and assessment materials relating to stories in the student edition. Lesson plans based on specific articles in the student edition are also available on the magazine's website for subscribers. Bluegrass Music
Bluegrass music is a genre of American roots music that developed in the 1940s in the Appalachian region of the United States. The genre derives its name from the band Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys. Bluegrass has roots in African American genres like blues and jazz and North European genres, such as Irish ballads and dance tunes. Unlike country, it is traditionally played exclusively on acoustic instruments such as the fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar and upright bass. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (informally referred to as The Bosstones and often stylized as The Mighty Mighty BossToneS) were an American ska punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1983. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a contemporary swing revival band from Southern California. Their notable singles include "Go Daddy-O", "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)", and "Mr. Pinstripe Suit". The band played at the Super Bowl XXXIII halftime show in 1999. The band was originally formed in Ventura, California, in 1989 by leader Scotty Morris (guitar and vocals).
