Yang Manchun
Yang Manchun is the name given to the Goguryeo commander of Ansi-Seong Fortress in the 640s. Ansi Fortress was located on the Goguryeo–Tang dynasty, Tang border, probably present-day Haicheng, Liaoning, Haicheng. Yang is sometimes credited with saving the kingdom by his successful First campaign in the Goguryeo–Tang War, defense against Tang Taizong. Name The real name of the defender of Ansi Fortress is unclear. Dae Jung-sang (?–698?), also known as Geolgeol Jungsang, was a key contributor to the founding of Balhae, and the father of Dae Jo-yeong, the actual founder of Balhae. Though much of the credit for the founding of Balhae went to his son, many historians still give credit to Dae Jung-sang as the main supporter and leader in the founding of Balhae. ''Dae Jo-yeong'' () is a South Korean television series aired from September 16, 2006, to December 23, 2007, on KBS1. Filmed at Hanwha Resort near Mount Seorak with a budget of 35 billion wons, it was a critical and ratings success. It was originally planned as a 100-episode series, but was extended by 34 episodes. Taego Bou
Taego Bou (, 23 October 1301 – 27 January 1383), alternatively romanized as Taego Bowoo or Taego Bowu, was a Korean Seon master who lived in Goryeo, was the cofounder of the Jogye Order with Jinul, and is credited as the founder of the modern Taego Order. He entered into the monastery at 13, and at 25 passed the examination. He practiced at a temple in the mountains north of Seoul. In 1346 he visited China for two years, and trained under Shiwu. Upon returning to Korea, he adopted the precepts of Pai Chang, and under the auspices of Gongmin of Goryeo, he opened a new Buddhist administration office. His sect remained small in number, and receded shortly after his death. Miura Gorō
Viscount was a lieutenant general in the early Imperial Japanese Army; he is notable for orchestrating the murder of Queen Min of Korea in 1895. Biography Miura was born in Hagi in Chōshū Domain (modern Yamaguchi Prefecture), to a ''samurai'' family with the name of Andō, but was adopted by the Miura that was the family name of his father-in-law. After studying at the Meirinkan clan military academy, he entered the '' Kiheitai'' irregular militia of the Chōshū domain and played an active role in the Boshin War to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate. KBS TV Novel
''KBS TV Novel'' () is a TV series that was broadcast on KBS 2TV at 09:00 ( KST) during weekdays, developed and produced by the KBS Drama Production group. It was broadcast on KBS 1TV until 2009. The production and broadcasting were temporarily halted due to the production cost issue, however, the TV Novel series was back on KBS 2TV in November 2011 after being reorganized.
