Ilya Vladimirovich Oskolkov-Tsentsiper (born 30 September 1967, Moscow, USSR), social designer, media manager and entrepreneur, inventor, charismatic pioneer. Founder of Afisha magazine, and president of the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design. He works and lives in Tel-Aviv. Leningrad (band)
Leningrad (russian: Ленинград), also known as Gruppirovka Leningrad (russian: Группировка "Ленинград") and Bandformirovanie Leningrad (russian: Бандформирование "Ленинград"), is a popular Russian rock band from Saint Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), led by Sergey "Shnur" Shnurov. Composed of 14 members, the band was founded in the late 1990s. Leningrad worked in Gypsy punk style and soon became notorious for vulgar lyrics (including much Russian mat) and celebration of drinking. As a result, most radio stations initially avoided the band, which did not stop Leningrad's growing popularity, partly for purely aesthetic reasons, such as the rich brass sound. Zaryadye
Zaryadye ( rus, Зарядье, p=zɐˈrʲædʲje) is a historical district in Moscow established in 12th or 13th century within Kitai-gorod, between Varvarka Street and Moskva River. The name means "the place behind the rows", i.e., behind the market rows adjacent to the Red Square. History Zaryadye is the oldest trading settlement outside the Kremlin walls. The first chronicle notice is dated 1365, when a fire destroyed the area. Fires continued in 1390, 1468, 1493, 1547; in 1451, the fire was set by Tatar raiders. Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Bravo (russian: link=no, Браво) is a rock and roll band founded in 1983 in Moscow, Russia by guitarist Evgeny Havtan. Biography Drawing heavy inspiration from 1950s western music, Bravo was a part of the Soviet rock and roll revival of the 1980s, along with Secret. Their first album was made in 1983. Despite the fact that at that time rock and roll and beat music (except for The Beatles) were less popular among Soviet citizens than classic rock, the band was one of the most popular underground acts in Russia in the 1980s, until the departure of original lead singer Zhanna Aguzarova ( :ru:Жанна Агузарова) in 1988. The band has had many line-up changes over its history, and lead singer and founder Boris Grebenshchikov is the only remaining original member.
