Ilshat Faizulin
Ilshat Galimzyanovich Fayzulin (russian: Ильшат Галимзянович Файзулин; tt-Cyrl, Илшат Галимҗан улы Фәйзуллин; born 5 March 1973) is a Russian football coach and a former player of Tatar ethnic origin. A forward, his career was majorly spent in equal periods of time in Russia and Spain. Club career Born in Osinniki, Soviet Union, Fayzulin started playing professionally with PFC CSKA Moscow, where his performances garnered the attention of Spain's Racing de Santander (later, during one season, he would team up with compatriot Dmitri Popov at the La Liga side). Subsequently, he was a relatively important offensive element at Villarreal CF, helping the club achieve a first-ever top flight promotion in 1998. Russia National Under-21 Football Team
The Russia national under-21 football team is overseen by the Russian Football Union. The team competed in the European Under-21 Football Championship, held every two years, and international friendly matches. The team also participated in the qualification for the Olympic Games. The 1997–98 Segunda División season saw 22 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. Deportivo Alavés, CF Extremadura and Villarreal CF were promoted to Primera División. Dmitri Lvovich Popov (russian: Дмитрий Львович Попов; born 27 February 1967) is a Russian football official and a former player who played as a left midfielder. Football career Popov was born in Yaroslavl, Soviet Union. He started playing professionally at local FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, then signed with country giants FC Spartak Moscow. In 1993, Popov moved to Spain alongside teammate Dmitri Radchenko, and would spend there the following six-and-a-half years, with Racing de Santander (in the 1995–96 season, he teamed up there with compatriot Ilshat Faizulin), SD Compostela and CD Toledo. In January 2000 he joined Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv FC, retiring at the end of the campaign. Popov returned to Spartak Moscow in 2008, as its director of football.
