Ilkka Alanko
Ilkka Tapani Alanko (born 21 November 1969) is a Finnish musician. He is a lead vocalist, co-founder, songwriter, and guitarist for the Finnish rock band Neljä Ruusua. Alanko's debut solo album ''Elektra'' was released in 2009, and it peaked at number seven on the Finnish Albums Chart. Alanko is also a founder of the eponymous ensemble Ilkka Alanko Orchestra. In 2010, the orchestra released its debut album '' Ruusuja'', which also spawned a television documentary ''Ilkka Alanko Orchestra – Poplaulajan työpäivä''. In 2010, Alanko won the talent show '' Kuorosota'', the Finnish version of ''Clash of the Choirs'', with his choir. Personal life Alanko's older siblings Ismo, Petri, and Satu are also musicians. Alanko is married to his long-time partner Tessa. They have two children, born in 2005 and 2008. Ilosaarirock Festival
The Ilosaarirock Festival is an annual rock festival held on the second weekend of July in Joensuu, Eastern Finland. Founded in 1971, Ilosaarirock is the second oldest rock festival in Finland still active, and one of the oldest in Europe. In 2007 the event had 21,000 daily visitors. The festival sold out in advance every year from 1998 to 2011. Ilosaarirock is an entity of events that in its entirety, with clubs and side-events, spans Friday to Sunday. The actual festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. The festival site, called Laulurinne, stages performances on five separate stages with over 50 artists. Including all events, Ilosaarirock weekend hosts over 100 artists. Ilosaarirock is organized mainly by volunteers and is put together by over 1,500 volunteer workers. Irina Saari (née Lahtinen, born on 10 May 1975 in Kauhajoki), better known by her stage name Irina, is a Finnish singer. Her style is pop and suomirock. She currently lives in Heinola. All of the songs on Irina's debut album were written by Toni Wirtanen of Apulanta except for the cover song "Katujen kuningatar" ("Queen of the Streets"). For some of the lyrics in the songs, she is noted as a co-writer. For her second album '' Älä riko kaavaa'' (''Don't Mess With the Formula''), Knipi and Ville Pusa contributed to the songwriting in addition to Wirtanen. Ismo Kullervo Alanko (; born November 12, 1960) is a Finnish musician. He is known as the frontman of several bands, most famously Hassisen Kone, Sielun Veljet and Ismo Alanko Säätiö, as well as a successful solo artist. Joensuu (; krl, Jovensuu; ) is a city and municipality in North Karelia, Finland, located on the northern shore of Lake Pyhäselkä (northern part of Lake Saimaa) at the mouth of the Pielinen River (''Pielisjoki'').
