Ilimanaq
Ilimanaq (), Danish Claushavn, is a settlement in Avannaata municipality in western Greenland. It had 53 inhabitants in 2020. The modern name of the village is Kalaallisut for "Place of Expectations". Geography Climate Ilimanaq is located on the eastern shore of Disko Bay, just south of the mouth of the Ilulissat Icefjord (). History The old Danish name of the settlement derived from the Dutch whaler Klaes Pieterz Torp. The whalers were active in the region from 1719 to 1732, leaving a trail of names behind the settlement of Oqaatsut to the north was originally a Dutch whaling station named "Rodebay". Claushavn was founded in 1741, around the same time as Ilulissat. In 1752, Niels Brønlund Bloch, Poul Egede's cousin, established a mission in Ilimanaq. After 1880, the settlement lost its importance. The church from 1908 and the old colonial houses have been renovated. Ilimanaq Heliport
Ilimanaq Heliport is a heliport in Ilimanaq, a village located just south of Ilulissat Icefjord in Avannaata municipality in western Greenland. The heliport is considered a ''helistop'', and is served by Air Greenland as part of a government contract. Airlines and destinations Air Greenland operates government contract flights to villages in the Disko Bay region. These mostly cargo flights are not featured in the timetable, although they can be pre-booked. Departure times for these flights as specified during booking are by definition approximate, with the settlement service optimized on the fly depending on local demand for a given day. Settlement flights in the Disko Bay and Aasiaat Archipelago regions are unique in that they are operated only during winter and spring. Disko Bay

Diskoline
Disko Line Aktieselskab, A/S is a passenger, freight and tourism ferry line in western Greenland. It was founded in 2004DiskolineAbout/ref> as a small freight company. Disko Line is Part of Topas Explorer Group Complementary transport services Diskoline provides sea transport services on contract with the Government of Greenland, serving towns and settlements of the Disko Bay region in western Greenland, from Aasiaat Archipelago in the south, through Disko Island and southern Nuussuaq Peninsula in the north, to the eastern coast of Disko Bay in the east. Avannaata
Avannaata (, ) is a municipality of Greenland created on 1 January 2018 from the bulk of the former Qaasuitsup municipality. It encompasses an area of 522,700 km2 and has 10,726 inhabitants. Geography In the south, Avannaata is flanked by the Qeqertalik municipality. In the southeast, it is bordered by the Sermersooq municipality; the border runs north–south ( 45° West meridian) through the center of the Greenland ice sheet (), so is free of traffic. Ilulissat
Ilulissat, also known as Jacobshavn or Jakobshav, is the municipal seat and largest town of the Avannaata municipality in western Greenland, located approximately north of the Arctic Circle. With a population of 4,670 as of 2020, it is the third-largest city in Greenland, after Nuuk and Sisimiut. The city is home to almost as many sled-dogs as people. In direct translation, Ilulissat is the Kalaallisut word for "Icebergs" (). Ice Fjord
Ice Fjord is a bay long and wide, entered between Weddell Point and Kade Point along the south coast and near the west end of the island of South Georgia. The name is well established, dating back to about 1920. A number of features along the bay's coast, including several smaller bays, have been charted and named. During a visit to South Georgia in 1911–12, Scottish geologist David Ferguson named two bays within Ice Fjord as North and South Bays. Pilersuisoq is a chain of all-purpose general stores in Greenland, a major division of the Parliament of Greenland, state-owned KNI (Greenland Trade), KNI conglomerate. Like its parent company, it is based in Sisimiut (Holsteinsborg), the list of cities in Greenland, second-largest town in Greenland. Lars Behrendt is the administrative director of the company since 2008. Operations The chain operates 64 outlets in all small settlements in the country, as well as smaller towns which are not, except for Aasiaat, covered by the Pisiffik or Brugseni, Brugsen supermarket chains.
