Ilias Rossidis
Ilias Rosidis (; 3 February 1927 – 27 December 2019) was a Greek Association football, footballer who played for Olympiacos FC and the Greece national football team, Greece national team throughout his career. Club career A talented right back, Rosidis is considered a legend amongst the Olympiacos faithful. During a career that spanned almost 20 years at the Piraeus club, Rosidis Captain (association football), captained the club during their golden era of the 1950s. From 1954 to 1959, Rosidis led the club to a then unheard of six consecutive Super League Greece, Greek Championships. In that same period, Rosidis lifted the Greek Cup on 3 occasions, making Olympiacos the only Greek club to have won 3 consecutive Double (association football), doubles. The 1955–56 Panhellenic Championship was the 20th season of the highest football league of Greece and an exceptionally interesting championship, since 5 out of the 6 teams were challenging for the title until the final fixture, while Aris was left behind from the beginning. Greek Football Cup
The Greek Football Cup (), commonly known as the Greek Cup or Betsson Greek Cup for sponsorship reasons is a Greek football competition, run by the Hellenic Football Federation. The Greek Cup is the second-most important domestic men's football event, after the championship of Super League. The organizing authority of the institution is the Hellenic Football Federation ( EPO). Since its inception in 1931 it has been held 83 times, with a cup winner being crowned on 82 occasions. The final in 1962 being the only occasion when no champion was crowned. Olympiacos is the most successful club, having reached the final 43 times and earning 29 trophies.
