Iknow Chabi
Iknow Chabi (born 18 June 1984) is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the 2016–17 Logan Cup and the 2016–17 Pro50 Championship tournaments. On 4 July 2018, he stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between Zimbabwe and Pakistan, during the 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series. On 12 April 2019, he stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match, between Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates. In January 2020, he was named as one of the sixteen umpires for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament in South Africa. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the Capital city, capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. The city proper has an area of 940 km2 (371 mi2) and a population of 2.12 million in the 2012 census and an estimated 3.12 million in its metropolitan area in 2019. 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020. It was the thirteenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in South Africa. Sixteen teams took part in the tournament, split into four groups of four. The top two teams from each group advanced to the Super League, with the bottom two teams in each group progressing to the Plate League. India were the defending champions. In the first Super League semi-final, India beat Pakistan by ten wickets to advance to the final, with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring an unbeaten century. In the second Super League semi-final, Bangladesh beat New Zealand by six wickets, with Mahmudul Hasan Joy scoring a century. Emirati Cricket Team In Zimbabwe In 2018–19
The United Arab Emirates cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April 2019 to play four One Day International (ODI) matches. It was the first time that the United Arab Emirates played a Full Member side in a bilateral series. Ahead of the tour, Zimbabwe named a 27-man training squad. Zimbabwe's regular captain, Hamilton Masakadza, was ruled out of the tour due to injury, with Peter Moor named as the ODI captain in his place. Also missing for Zimbabwe was experienced batsman Brendan Taylor, who was ruled out due to a calf muscle tear. Zimbabwe Cricket announced that the profits from the third ODI match of the tour would go to the Cyclone Idai relief efforts. In cricket, an umpire (from the Old French ''nompere'' meaning not a peer, i.e. not a member of one of the teams, impartial) is a person who has the authority to make decisions about events on the cricket field according to the '' Laws of Cricket''. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A, limited-overs competition. The international one day game is a late-twentieth-century development. 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series
The 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament held from 1 to 8 July 2018 in Zimbabwe. It was a tri-nation series between Australia, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at the Harare Sports Club. In the fourth T20I, Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by seven wickets, therefore Australia and Pakistan qualified for the final. Pakistan defeated Australia in the final by six wickets to win the series. Originally, the tour was just going to feature Australia and Zimbabwe, with the two teams playing two Tests and three One Day Internationals (ODIs). In June 2018, the Zimbabwe team threatened to boycott the tour in a dispute over outstanding money that has not been paid to players.
