is the 17th single released from the Japanese pop band Orange Range. Overview ''Ikenai Taiyō'' is the 9th single to be released by Orange Range. The title song was used as the opening to the 2007 J-Drama version of ''Hanazakari no Kimitachi e''. The single comes in two versions: a limited edition CD+DVD version and a CD only version. The CD+DVD version of the single comes with a digest of performances from Orange Range's fanclub live concerts. The single peaked at #2 on the Oricon daily charts and gained a spot of #3 on the weekly charts, still managing their highest sales in a year. Orange Range
is a Japanese rock band known for their strong Okinawan identity. Formed in 2001, the band began with Spice Music and later signed with Sony Music Japan's gr8! records division in 2003. The band left gr8! records in 2010 to start their own label, super Echo. In 2012, they signed with Victor Entertainment's Speedstar Records label. Before they were signed by a major label, Orange Range played mostly in small art houses and clubs until they were found by a record agent. translated as Fake or Squid Summer is the 8th single from the Japanese band Orange Range. It was their first new single in nearly seven months. Overview "Ika Summer" was used as in various commercials for a new brand of makeup named Kanebo Allie. The B-side song is a rearrangement of a single from their indie album named SJK06. The title is a pun; the word ikasama means "fake", and "summer" is pronounced almost the same as "sama" in Japanese, thus "Fake Summer", which the band claims was used because the theme of the song is summer but it will be released before the season.
