Ihsaas
''Ihsaas'' is a 1993 Maldivian drama film directed by Mohamed Hilmy and Ali Waheed. Produced by MAPA, the film stars Ismail Wajeeh, Reeko Moosa Manik, Hamid Wajeeh, Aminath Shiyaza, Ameena and Yadhiya Hilmy in pivotal roles. Premise Mohamed Unaiz ( Ismail Wajeeh), an orphan who lost his family in a shipwreck, migrates to a foreign country for further studies and is arrested by a group of assassins for his alleged involvement in spying. With the help of Maldivian government, Unaiz is released from the jail and relocates to his island where he marries a divorcee, Shareefa, who domestically abuses him. Ismail Wajeeh
Ismail Wajeeh (20 September 1962) is a Maldivian actor and choreographer. Early life While studying in primary school, Wajeeh, along with his nephews used to perform songs and stage shows to small gatherings. While studying in grade 4, he was offered to be part of an English radio drama produced by the Voice of Maldives, titled "The Enormous Turnip". During his secondary education, he played small roles in stage dramas as an extra. In 1982, he got offered by the leading theatre performing group, Cultural and Drama Society (CDS) to be part of their group. Career In 1984, while Wajeeh was working in Television Maldives, he meets the director Mohamed Hilmy, a friend of his brother, who asked Wajeeh if he is interested to be the lead actor of his upcoming film, ''Chuttee'' (1984), to which he agrees instantly. Reeko Moosa Manik
Moosa Manik (born 9 February 1961) also known as Reeko Moosa Manik is a Maldivian entrepreneur and former actor and politician. He also served as the deputy speaker of the Maldives Parliament, and former chairman of the Maldivian Democratic Party. He was a member of parliament Hulhuhenveiru constituency. Political career Manik first entered politics when he got elected as the MP for Hulhuhenveiru constituency in the 2009 elections in the 17th People's Majlis for the Maldivian Democratic Party. In 2011, Manik was elected by the MDP National Council to be the acting chairperson of MDP for a year. Manik was re-elected following the 2014 elections for the same constituency and ran for the position of Deputy Speaker of the People's Majlis, which he later got elected. Koyya Hassan Manik
Hassan Ali Manik professionally known as Koyya Hassan Manik (25 April 1953 – 20 February 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and producer. Career 1989–2008: Early releases and first lead role with ''Ajaaib'' In 1989, Najuma offered him to feature in ''Hama Mihaaru'', one of the programs aired in the Dhivehi Rajjeyge Adu, where he took part in a total of eighteen episodes in a span of three years. During this period, a friend proffered him to star in the television comedy show; ''Bakhabaru'' alongside Fibo Ahmed Manik and continued to star in the show as part of the main cast.
