Igor Vasilyev (politician)
Igor Vladimirovich Vasilyev (russian: Игорь Владимирович Васильев; born 31 May 1961), from September 19, 2017 to May 10, 2022 was the 5th Governor of the Kirov Oblast. From 2014 to 2016, he was the Head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr), and from 2010 to 2013, he was the Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of Russia. From 2004 to 2010, Vasilyev was a member of the Federation Council from the executive body of the Komi Republic. He is a member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party, and the Secretary of the Kirov regional branch of the United Russia party since 8 November 2019. Saint Petersburg State University (SPBU; russian: Санкт-Петербургский государственный университет) is a public research university in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Founded in 1724 by a decree of Peter the Great, the university from the beginning has had a focus on fundamental research in science, engineering and humanities. During the Soviet period, it was known as Leningrad State University (russian: Ленинградский государственный университет). It was renamed after Andrei Zhdanov in 1948 and was officially called "Leningrad State University, named after A. A. Maria Valeryevna Butina (russian: Мари́я Вале́рьевна Бу́тина, sometimes transliterated as Mariya Butina; born November 10, 1988) is a Russian politician, political activist and former entrepreneur who was convicted in 2018 of acting as an unregistered foreign agent of Russia within the United States. She worked as an assistant for Aleksandr Torshin, a former member of the Federation Council, a member of Vladimir Putin's United Russia party, and a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Russia.
