Igor Arrieta
Igor Arrieta Lizarraga (born 8 December 2002) is a Spanish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is the son of former professional cyclist José Luis Arrieta. Arrieta turned professional in August 2021 with UCI ProTeam after winning the national under-23 time trial championships earlier that year. In February 2022, he won the young rider classification and finished 7th overall at the O Gran Camiño. He joined UCI WorldTeam in 2024 on a three-year contract. Uharte-Arakil is a town and municipality located in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain. History Etymology Its name Huarte came from the expression in the Basque language ur arte ('between waters'). In modern Basque, the word uharte or ugarte with shares the same etymological origin. The Challenge Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca ( en, Tour of Majorca, ca, Challenge Volta Ciclista a Mallorca) is a series of four (five until 2012) professional one day road bicycle races held on the Spanish island of Mallorca in late January or early February. The event is used as an early season preparatory event by many of the top teams in readiness for the bigger races later in the season. The five races are ranked 1.1 on the UCI Europe Tour. Although the race styles itself as the "Tour of Majorca" it has never been allowed to be classed as a multi day stage race by the sports governing body the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) because the race rules allows riders not to participate on certain days if they don't want to.
