Ignas Šeinius
Ignas Jurkūnas (2 April 1889 – 15 January 1959), best known by his pen name Ignas Šeinius, was a Lithuanian-Swedish writer, publicist, and diplomat. Šeinius worked as a diplomat for the interwar Lithuania in the Nordic states, to which he immigrated after the Soviet occupation of Lithuania. He is best known for his novel ''Kuprelis'' (The Hunchback), which, along with Šeinius' other novels, was at the forefront of impressionism in the Lithuanian literature. Biography Early years Ignas Jurkūnas was born on 2 April 1889 to a family of Lithuanian peasants in the village of , from which he would eventually create his pen name. He attended schools in both Gelvoniai and Musninkai. Ignas Brazdeikis (born January 8, 1999) is a Lithuanian–Canadian professional basketball player for BC Žalgiris, Žalgiris of the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball, Michigan Wolverines. Ignas Darkintis (born 8 February 1989) is a Lithuanian rugby union player. He plays as a prop. Darkintis played most of his career at the Lithuanian side of Vairas Siauliai. Ignas Dedura (born 6 January 1978) is a Lithuanian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Dedura began his career at FBK Kaunas in 1997, scoring 13 goals in 105 appearances, before moving to Russia in 2001 where he played for Torpedo-ZIL. He only made ten appearances for the club and later that year he moved to Latvian club Skonto FC where he stayed until 2004, making 79 appearances and scoring eight goals. Ignas Jonynas
Ignas Jonynas (January 24, 1884 – July 14, 1954) was a Lithuanian diplomat, historian, and university professor. As a diplomat he is known for negotiations with the Second Polish Republic and League of Nations regarding Vilnius Region. As a historian he specialized in the history of Lithuania in the 13–16th centuries and lectured at the University of Lithuania and Vilnius University from 1924 until his death. He published little, but had a formative influence on the subsequent generations of historians. Biography From 1904, Jonynas studied history at the University of Moscow under Matvei Kuzmich Liubavskii, an expert on the Lithuanian Metrica—medieval archives of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Liubavskii's critical approach to historical sources greatly influenced Jonynas.
