The Swedish Sports Awards ''( sv, Svenska idrottsgalan) ''is a show to honor the past year's Swedish sports and athletes' achievements. It is hosted annually at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm in mid or late January. The event was first held in the year 2000. In the years 2021 and 2022, the event was held in Annexet instead, following the Coronavirus pandemic reducing the number of spectators. Kajsa Bergqvist
Kajsa Margareta Bergqvist (; born 12 October 1976 in Sollentuna, Stockholm) is a Swedish former high jumper. She won one bronze medal in the Olympic Games, one gold and two bronze medals in the World Championships in Athletics and one gold and one bronze in the European Championships. Her personal outdoor record of 2.06 m, set in Germany in 2003, is also a Swedish record. Her indoor record of 2.08 m, set at the Hochsprung mit Musik meeting in 2006, is the world indoor record. Biography Career Bergqvist was born up in Sollentuna Municipality in Stockholm County. Annexet
The Annexet is one of the venues in Stockholm Globe City, located in Stockholm, Sweden. The venue opened in 1989 and has a capacity of 3,950 people. Events Annexet is mostly used for concerts and ice hockey matches. All shows of Melodifestivalen 2021 were held in the Annexet. Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, no audience was present. In 2021 and 2022, the Swedish Sports Awards were held in the Annexet instead of the usual venue, the Globe Arena, also due to COVID-19 restrictions. Annika Charlotta Sörenstam (; born 9 October 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best female golfers in history. Marina Charlotte Kalla (born 22 July 1987 in Tärendö) is a Swedish cross-country skier who has been competing at international level since the 2003–04 season. Kalla is a three-time Olympian, winning her first Olympic gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the 10 km freestyle event in Vancouver. Helena Ekholm (née Helena Jonsson) (born September 6, 1984 in Helgum) is a former Swedish biathlete. She was born in Helgum, Sollefteå Municipality. She is the 2009 world champion in pursuit and the 2011 world champion in individual. She also won the Women's Overall World Cup in the 2008–09 season.
