Walter Edwards (director)
Walter Edwards (January 8, 1870 – April 12, 1920), was an Americans, American director, screenwriter and actor. He directed 46 films during his career. Edwards initially worked at the Elitch Theatre as a director in 1896, but he later returned for multiple seasons as an actor in the Summer stock theatre, summer stock cast. "In 1896, Mrs. Elitch signed J. H. Huntley to direct a resident stock company... After six weeks of melodrama, however, and a few unsatisfactory notices, the organization of the company was changed. Huntley, who was not very popular with audiences or with newspaper reviewers, was replaced by Walter Edwards." On July 12, 1896, Edwards started as director and his first play was J. K. Tillotson, J. K. Tillotson's ''A Gilded Crime''. The newspaper review stated: "Walter Edwards' presence has strengthened the company materially..." Louise Glaum (September 4, 1888 – November 25, 1970) was an American actor, actress. Known for her roles as a femme fatale, vamp in silent film, silent era film, motion picture drama film, dramas, she was credited in her early career with giving one of the best characterizations in such parts. Glaum began her acting career on the theatre, stage in Los Angeles, her hometown, in 1907. After a few years, she went on the road with a touring company and performed as an ingenue (stock character), ingenue in the play (theatre), play ''Why Girls Leave Home''. She stayed on in Chicago, where she appeared in a number of productions. After returning to Los Angeles in 1911 because of the death of her younger sister, Glaum found acting work at a movie studio. She appeared in over 110 movies from 1912 to 1925, her debut being in ''When the Heart Calls''.
