Idioglossa Metallochrysa
''Idioglossa metallochrysa'' is a very small species of golden-metallic coloured moth of the family Batrachedridae living in a subtropical highland climate, at least in Australia, and of which the caterpillars feed on the plant ''Cheilocostus speciosus'', at least in Indonesia. Taxonomy It was first described by Alfred Jefferis Turner in 1917 from three specimens collected in November on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland, Australia. They were apparently all female. There are three syntypes, two are kept at Australian National Insect Collection, and one at the Natural History Museum, London, courtesy of Edward Meyrick. The Australian entomologist Ian Francis Bell Common classified it in the subfamily Stathmopodinae of the family Oecophoridae in 1996. It was reclassified in the subfamily Batrachedrinae of the Batrachedridae by Kazuhiro Sugisima in 2000, based on more detailed examination of the genitalia. Alfred Jefferis Turner
Alfred Jefferis Turner (3 October 1861, in Canton – 29 December 1947, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) was a pediatrician and noted amateur entomologist. He was the son of missionary Frederick Storrs-Turner. He introduced the use of diphtheria antitoxin to Australia in 1895. He was known by the nickname "Gentle Annie". Doctor Turner was a resident of Dauphin Terrace, Highgate Hill, Brisbane. The Jefferis Turner Centre for mothercraft was opened in 1952 as part of the Queensland Government's Maternal and Child Welfare program. In 1986, its role was changed to provide short term respite care for intellectually disabled children. It is located in the heritage building Fairy Knoll in Ipswich. Kuranda is a rural town and locality on the Atherton Tableland in the Shire of Mareeba, Queensland, Australia. In the , Kuranda had a population of 3,008 people. It is from Cairns, via the Kuranda Range road. It is surrounded by tropical rainforest and adjacent to the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage listed Barron Gorge National Park.
