Icecapade (April 4, 1969 – November 12, 1988) was an American Thoroughbred racing, Thoroughbred racehorse that had success in racing and became an important sire. Janney Jr. and his wife Barbara Phipps Janney. Icecapade was foaled in Kentucky by Shenanigans (horse), Shenanigans, the 1975 Kentucky Broodmare of the Year. Icecapade was sired by the outstanding runner and important sire Nearctic (horse), Nearctic who sired a number of very successful offspring including the most influential sire of the 20th century, Northern Dancer.
