Ibrahim Khan II
Ibrahim Khan II ( fa, )(''reigned:'' 1689–1697; died 1701) was the last Subahdar of Bengal during the reign of emperor Aurangzeb. His only child was a son Named Wazir Ibrahim Khan (1654–1713) and was diwan of Emperor Jahandar Shah. He was killed at the orders of Farrukhsiyar. Early life He was the eldest son of Ali Mardan Khan. Ali Mardan was a noble of Persian origin. Prior to the governorship of Bengal, Ibrahim Khan served as Subahdar of Kashmir, Lahore and Bihar. He had a son named Zabardast Khan. Reign During his reign, English and French traders were granted several ''farmans'' to continue trading in Bengal. During 1695–1696, he failed to suppress the revolt of the Chandrakona zamindar, Shobha Singh. Later in 1697, Ibrahim Khan was replaced by emperor Aurangzeb's own grandson, Prince Azim-us-Shan. Ibrahim Khan Gardi
Ibrahim Khan Gardi (died 1761) was a Muslim general of Maratha Empire. An expert in artillery, he initially served the Nizam of Hyderabad, before working for the Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. As a general of the Maratha Empire, he commanded a force of 10,000 men, infantry and artillery. He was captured and killed by the Durrani soldiers during the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761. Military career Ibrahim Khan Gardi was an expert in artillery and was in service of Nizam of Hyderabad. Ibrahim Khan Fath-i-Jang
Mirza Ibrahim Beg ( fa, ), later known as Ibrahim Khan Fath-i-Jang ( fa, ; d. 1624) was the Subahdar of Bengal during the reign of emperor Jahangir. He was the brother to Empress Nur Jahan. Biography Born to a Shi'ite family, Khan was the son of Mirza Ghiyas Beg. His uncle, Muhammad-Tahir, was a learned man who composed poetry under the pen name of ''Wasli''. Ibrahim Khan's father was a native of Tehran, and was the youngest son of Khvajeh Mohammad-Sharif. His father Ghiyas Beg migrated to the Mughal Empire after Sharif's death. Ibrahim Khan served as a veteran in Akbar's reign. Qasim Khan Chishti's failure in military expeditions resulted in Ibrahim being appointed the next governor of Mughal Bengal in 1617, during the reign of Jahangir. Ibrahim Khan (writer)
Ibrahim Khan (often referred as Principal Ibrahim Khan; – 29 March 1978) was a Bangladeshi litterateur. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1977 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life and education Khan was born in Shabaj Nagar in Tangail District. He passed the entrance examination from Pingna High School and FA from Ananda Mohan College in 1912 and 1914 respectively. He earned his bachelor's from St. Paul's Cathedral Mission College in 1916 and master's from Calcutta University as a private candidate. He obtained his law degree in 1918. Career Khan started his career as headmaster of Karatia High School, Tangail district in 1919. Khan participated in activities like Khelafat Andolon, Asohojog Andolon and Rayet Mohajon Birodhi Andolon. Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan (22 April 1915 – 31 July 2003) was the key instigator of the 1947 Poonch Rebellion in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir in British India and the later establishment of Azad Kashmir under Pakistani administrative control. He served as the first President of Azad Kashmir. His dismissal in 1950 led to the 1955 Poonch Uprising against Pakistan. He served as the president thrice afterwards, ending his last term in 2001.
