Ibn Al-Munayyir
Nāṣir al‑Dīn Abū al‑Abbās Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Manṣūr ibn Abī al‑Qāsim al‑Judhāmī al‑Iskandarī (); commonly known as Ibn al-Munayyīr (; 620–683  AH/ 1223–1284  CE) was a celebrated Sunni Egyptian scholar, Mālikī jurist, hadith scholar, Qurʾānic exegete, grammarian, rhetorician, theologian, preacher ( khāṭib), and judge (qāḍī) based in Alexandria during the late Ayyubid and early Mamluk periods. He is often mentioned alongside Ibn Daqīq al-ʿĪd and Shihāb al‑Dīn al‑Qarāfī as one of the three foremost scholars in Egypt of his era. Al-Mundhiri
Abū Muḥammad ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm ibn ʿAbd al-Qawī Zakī al-Dīn al-Mundhirī (), commonly known as Al-Mundhirī (; 656–581 AH/ 1185–1258 CE) was a Sunni Egyptian scholar of Syrian origin. He was an influential jurist, hadith specialist, historian, muhaqqiq (researcher), and well-versed in the Arabic language. He is regarded as the greatest hadith scholar of his time. Biography Al-Mundhirī's family origin was from Levant ( Shām) but he was born in Fustat, Egypt in the year of the 1st Sha'ban 581 corresponding to 28 October 1185. He was proficient in Islamic etiquette and law and had memorised the Qur'an. He started studying the sciences of hadith and excelled in it. He studied under a number of scholars including Umar bin Tabarzad, Ghiyáth al-Muqri’, Aba ‘Umar bin Qudámah, Muwaffaq ad-Din ibn Qudámah and Sitt al-Katbah bint 'АН bin as-Sarrah. Ibn Al-Hajib
Jamāl al-Dīn abū ʿAmr ʿUthmān ibn ʿUmar ibn Abī bakr al-Mālikī (died in 1249 in Alexandria), known as Ibn al-Ḥājib, was a Kurdish grammarian and jurist who earned a reputation as a prominent Maliki faqīh. Life Ibn al-Hajib was born after 1174/5 in the village of Asna in Upper Egypt to a father who worked as a chamberlain for Emir lzz al-Din Musak al-Salahi. Ibn al-Hajib studied Islamic studies in Cairo with success, especially with al-Shatibi and al-G̲h̲aznawī. According to local documents from the 1210s, he taught in Cairo until about 1220/21 before moving to Damascus, where he taught at the Maliki zawiya in the Great Mosque. He was expelled from Damascus after a dispute with the Ayyubid ruler of Damascus As-Salih Ismail between 1240 and 1242. He moved back to Cairo and afterwards Alexandria and ultimately died in 1249. Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ash'ari
Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari (; 874–936 CE) was an Arab Muslim theologian known for being the eponymous founder of the Ash'ari school of kalam in Sunnism. Al-Ash'ari was notable for taking an intermediary position between the two diametrically opposed schools of Islamic theology prevalent at the time: Atharism and Mu'tazilism. He primarily opposed the Mu'tazili theologians on God's eternal attributes and Quranic createdness. On the other hand, the Hanbalis and traditionists were opposed to the use of philosophy or speculative theology, and condemned any theological debate altogether. Al-Shafi'i (; ;767–820 CE) was a Muslim scholar, jurist, muhaddith, traditionist, theologian, ascetic, and eponym of the Shafi'i school of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence.
