Ian Stevens (footballer)
Ian David Stevens (born 21 October 1966) is a Maltese retired footballer. He was raised in Lancaster, England, and educated in the city at Ripley St. Thomas C of E High School. Playing career Preston North End and Stockport County Stevens was spotted by Preston North End while playing non-league football, Preston North End signed him as a professional in November 1984. His time at Deepdale was difficult however with the club going through a transitional period and at the end of the 1985–86 season he was released after playing just 12 games. After spending a month at Stockport County, Stevens found himself without a club and playing non-league football again for Lancaster City. Bolton Wanderers It was while playing for Lancaster that struggling Bolton Wanderers came in for him in March 1987. Jimmy Glass
James Robert Glass (born 1 August 1973) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is chiefly remembered for scoring the last-minute goal against Plymouth Argyle which kept Carlisle United in the Football League in 1999, while on loan from Swindon Town. The drama of Glass's late goal, which came in one of only three games that he played for Carlisle, has since made it famous in English football at a level beyond its immediate ramifications. Carlisle United Football Club ( , ) is a professional association football club based in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. Shrewsbury Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. Anthony Philliskirk (born 10 February 1965) is an English former footballer. He played as a striker for 11 different clubs between 1983 and 1998. Playing career Philliskirk turned professional at the age of 18, when he joined Sheffield United. He made his debut for the Blades in a pre-season friendly against Mansfield Town at Field Mill on 17 August 1983. He had to wait until 18 October 1983, before making his league debut for Sheffield United against Brentford at Griffin Park. He scored his first goal for the club two weeks later at Plymouth Argyle. Burnden Park
Burnden Park was the home of England, English association football, football club Bolton Wanderers F.C., Bolton Wanderers, who played home games there between 1895 and 1997.
