Ian Norman Mitchell (17 April 1925 – 4 June 2011) was an English cricketer. Mitchell was a right-handed Batsman (cricket), batsman. The son of Major Alexander Black Mitchell, a High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, he was born in Henbury, Bristol, Henbury, Bristol and educated at Harrow School, where he represented the school cricket team. While studying at Cambridge University, Mitchell made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Cambridge University Cricket Club against Middlesex County Cricket Club, Middlesex in 1949. He made a further first-class appearance that season for the university, the last of which came against Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Warwickshire. The following season he made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Gloucestershire against Lancashire County Cricket Club, Lancashire in the 1950 County Championship. Ian Mitchell (9 May 1946 – 2 April 1996) was a Scottish footballer who played mainly for Dundee United and holds the record of being the youngest player ever to make a first team appearance for the club. Mitchell was born in Falkirk. After winning schoolboy caps for Scotland, Dundee United snapped him up as a juvenile. He became a regular in the first team after a good showing in his debut, aged only sixteen. He is one of five United players to score more than 100 league goals for the club and in the top twenty appearances for the club. In 1970, he signed for Newcastle United for £50,000 but returned to Dundee United a year later. Ian Mitchell (born January 18, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract with the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Collegiate Mitchell was selected 57th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, but committed to play college ice hockey at the University of Denver starting in the 2017–18 season. Mitchell immediately found success on Denver's blue line, scoring two goals and 28 assists in 41 games for the team. Denver won the 2018 NCHC Tournament, securing an automatic bid in the 2018 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament. The Bay City Rollers are a Scottish pop rock band known for their worldwide teen idol popularity, as a band in the 1970s. One of many 70s acts heralded as the "biggest group since the Beatles", they were called the "tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh", and sold 5 million albums.
