Ian McGinty
Ian McGinty (May 6, 1985 – June 8, 2023) was an American comic book writer, artist, and designer, best known for his work on the ''Adventure Time'' and ''Bravest Warriors'' comics, and for creating the original series ''Welcome to Showside''. His distinctive art style, which he described as “combining disgustingly cute and disgustingly disgusting,” appeared in licensed comics, original works, and collaborations with musicians such as Dance Gavin Dance and Paul Oakenfold. McGinty also contributed to animation, serving as showrunner and lead voice actor for the ''Welcome to Showside'' pilot. He was noted for energetic storytelling, appeal to all-ages audiences, and championing creator-owned comics. Early life and education McGinty was born in Annapolis, Maryland. Small Press Expo
The Small Press Expo (SPX) is an American alternative comics convention. A registered 501(c)(3) that was created in 1994, every year since its inception, SPX has put on a festival, known as The Expo, that provides a forum for artists, writers and publishers of comic art in its various forms to present their creations to the public and to expose the public to comic art not normally accessible through normal commercial channels. The annual SPX festival is typically held in the fall in Bethesda, Maryland. SPX is unique amongst the various comic conventions as it does not allow retailers to have a formal presence at the convention. Only creators and publishers are allowed to set up at the festival, although retailers can and do attend the show with the general public through paid admissions. Bee And PuppyCat
''Bee and PuppyCat'' is an American animated television series created and written by Natasha Allegri. The series revolves around Bee (voiced by Allyn Rachel), an unemployed woman in her early twenties, who encounters a mysterious creature named PuppyCat (voiced by the Vocaloid program Oliver). She adopts this apparent cat-dog hybrid, and together they go on a series of temporary jobs to pay off her monthly rent. These bizarre jobs take the duo across strange worlds out in space.
