Ian Maguire
Ian Maguire (born 19 April 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club St Finbarr's and at senior level with the Cork county team. He usually lines out as at midfield. Career Maguire first came to Gaelic football prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the St Finbarr's club while also lining out with Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh in the Corn Uí Mhuirí. After making his senior team debut, he was captain of the club's Munster Club Championship-winning team in 2022. Maguire first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork minor football team in 2012 before later lining out in the 2013 All-Ireland under-21 final defeat by Galway. He made his first appearance with the Cork senior football team in a Round 4 qualifier against Sligo in 2014. Sligo GAA
The Sligo County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) () or Sligo GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Sligo. The county board is also responsible for the Sligo county teams. The county football team plays in the Connacht Senior Football Championship but has only won three senior provincial titles, in 1928, 1975 and 2007. Sligo has never appeared in an All-Ireland final. The 1922 Championship is the closest it has come, defeating Roscommon, Mayo and Galway to win the Connacht title, and beating Tipperary in the subsequent All-Ireland semi-final that followed. Seán Meehan (born 1999) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Kiskeam and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He usually lines out as a centre-back. Paul Kerrigan
Paul Kerrigan (born 16 December 1986) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Premier Championship club Nemo Rangers. A member of the Cork senior football team for 13 seasons from 2008 until 2020, he won seven major trophies in his inter-county career, including the All-Ireland Championship in 2010. Son of Jimmy Kerrigan, a two-time All-Ireland medal winner with Cork, Kerrigan began his career at club level with Nemo Rangers. He joined the club’s senior team as a 17-year-old in 2004 and has since won five Munster Club Championship titles. Kerrigan has also won 10 Cork County Championship titles from 11 final appearances. Munster Under-21 Football Championship
The Munster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1962 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. The final, currently held in March, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the Corn na Cásca. 2021 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship
The 2021 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship was the second staging of the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship and the 133rd staging overall of a championship for the top-ranking Gaelic football teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 29 April 2021. The championship began on 20 July 2021 and ended on 28 November 2021. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they failed to make it out of the group stage after suffering two defeats. Ilen Rovers were relegated after being beaten by Carrigaline in a playoff. The final was played on 28 November 2021 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Clonakilty and St. Finbarr's, in what was their second ever final meeting and their first in 11 years. 2018 Cork Senior Football Championship
The 2018 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 130th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2018 opening fixtures took place on 10 December 2017. The championship began on 18 March 2018 and ended on 28 October 2018. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Castlehaven at the quarter-final stage. On 28 October 2018, St. Finbarr's won the championship following a 3-14 to 2-14 defeat of Duhallow in the final. This was their 9th championship title overall and their first title since 1985. The 2021–22 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 51st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club football tournament. It was the first club championship to be held for two years as the 2020–21 edition was cancelled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The Sigerson Cup is the trophy for the premier Gaelic football championship among Higher Education institutions (Universities, Colleges and Institutes of Technology) in Ireland. It traditionally begins in mid January and ends in late February. The Sigerson Cup competition is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais Cumann Lúthchleas Gael (CLG), the GAA's Higher Education Council.
