Ian Duncan (rally Driver)
Ian Duncan (born 23 June 1961) is one of Kenya's most successful rally drivers. He was Kenyan Rally Champion six times (1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2000 and 2011), and achieved outright victory in a World Rally Championship round when he won the 42nd Trustbank Safari Rally in 1994. This was one of seven consecutive top ten finishes in the event from 1990–1996, despite its notorious attrition rate. Career He spent his childhood at his parents' farm in Limuru. His first tastes of driving occurred when he was aged around ten, as he helped his mother when she got stuck on farm roads during the rainy season. He went to St. Mary's High School, but was more interested in repairing cars and motorcycles. He also competed in motocross winning the national 125 cc title in 1979 and 1980. Ian James Duncan, Baron Duncan of Springbank (born 13 February 1973) is a Scottish politician serving as a deputy speaker in the House of Lords. A member of the Conservative Party, he was formerly Minister for Climate Change in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and minister in the Northern Ireland Office. He initially joined the UK Government as a Scotland Office minister following the 2017 UK general election. Duncan was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Scotland from 2014 to 2017. He is the only minister to have served in each of the UK Government's territorial offices. Dr Ian Duncan (born 1943) is a British gynaecological oncologist. Duncan studied medicine at the University of St Andrews and undertook trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Dundee from 1969 to 1978, broken by period at Duke University from 1972 to 1974, specializing in gynaecological oncology. In 1978 he obtained a position as senior lecturer st the University of Dundee, rising to be reader and honorary consultant gynaecologist and oncologist. He retired from there in 2007. He played for the Bowling Green State University Falcons for four years, being named to their "all-century team" in 2000. Career Duncan started his National Hockey League career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1987, where he played his entire NHL career. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 1988.
