Ian Dickie (historian)
Ian Dickie (born December 21, 1985 in Bracebridge, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Newmarket, Ontario. Career While attending Laurentian University in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Dickie played in both the 2007 and 2009 Northern Ontario men's curling championships. After university, Dickie moved to Newmarket, Ontario. He played second for the Chris Ciasnocha rink for one season (2013–14) before forming his own rink as a skip in 2014. Dickie's first Tour event was the 2013 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard. After forming his own team, Dickie re-joined the World Curling Tour for the 2015-16 season. His team found immediate success by making the final of the 2015 KW Fall Classic to China's Liu Rui and making the semi-final of the 2015 Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic. Bracebridge, Ontario
Bracebridge is a town and the seat of the Muskoka District Municipality in Ontario, Canada. The town was built around a waterfall on the Muskoka River in the centre of town, and is known for its other nearby waterfalls (Wilson's Falls, High Falls, etc.). It was first incorporated in 1875. Stu Sells Oakville Tankard
The Stu Sells Oakville Tankard (also known as the OCT Championships) is an annual bonspiel on the men's and women's Ontario Curling Tour. Except for in 2020, the event has been held at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Ontario. The event was formerly just on the Ontario Curling Tour, but it was promoted as a World Curling Tour event in 2013 when Stu Sells became the sponsor. As of 2019, the purse for the event is $36,000 for both the men's and the women's events. A Tier 2 men's event was added in 2016 (but was discontinued), with a total purse of $16,000. 2022 Ontario Tankard
The 2022 Ontario Tankard, (known as the Port Elgin Chrysler '22 Ontario Tankard Presented by Bruce Power for sponsorship reasons), the provincial men's curling championship for Southern Ontario, was held from February 9 to 13 at The Plex in Port Elgin, Ontario. The winning Howard team represented Ontario at the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship in Lethbridge, Alberta. The event was expected to attract around 9,000 spectators, and to bring a $1,000,000 to the local economy. Bruce County contributed $5,000 cash and $5,000 in-kind for sponsorship, with revenues expected to contribute to improving the local Port Elgin Curling Club, which is playing host to the event (but is not the host venue). 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-Trials
The 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-Trials were held from October 25 to 31 at the Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. The event qualified two teams for the 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Qualification process Fourteen men's teams and fourteen women's team will qualify for the event. Nine men's and ten women's teams qualified based on their World Curling Team Rankings as of July 2021. Teams also had to have three of their four members from their 2020–21 season lineups still intact. Additionally, the three men's and two women's teams that did not advance to the trials through the 2021 Canadian Curling Trials Direct-Entry Event qualified for the event. 2020 Ontario Tankard
The 2020 Ontario Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for Southern Ontario, was held from January 28 to February 2 at the Ed Lumley Arena in Cornwall, Ontario. The winning John Epping rink represented Ontario at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ontario. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the women's provincial championship. John Epping won his second Ontario Tankard by defeating Glenn Howard 8–3 in the final. Qualification process Nine teams qualified from two cash spiels (two each), an open qualifier (two teams), plus the top two southern Ontario teams in the CTRS standings (as of December 1, 2019). Pat Ferris
Patrick "Pat" Ferris (born October 28, 1975 in North York, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Grimsby, Ontario. He currently skips his own team. Career Ferris had a successful junior career. In 1993, he skipped his Sutton District High School team to a provincial schoolboy championship. He won back to back provincial junior titles in 1995 and 1996. This qualified Ferris to skip the Ontario team at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in both of those years. At the 1995 Canadian Juniors, he led Ontario and teammates Chris Schell, Bryan Johnson and Paul Webster to a 6-5 record, missing the playoffs.

Evan Lilly
Evan Lilly (born March 26, 1989, in Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Sarnia, Ontario. He is currently the alternate on Team Pat Ferris. Career Lilly won the 2005 Northern Ontario bantam championships and the 2007 Ontario high school championships. He is also a four-time Northern Ontario junior finalist. Lilly has competed in four Canadian University Curling Championships. He played for the Western Mustangs as a second in 2009 and as a skip in 2010. He also skipped the Toronto Varsity Blues in 2014 and 2015. On the World Curling Tour, Lilly has won the 2016 KW Fall Classic and the 2017 Brantford Nissan Classic as the third for Richard Krell, and the 2018 Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic and the 2018 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel as the lead for John Willsey. 2016 Ontario Tankard
The 2016 Ontario Tankard, the Southern Ontario men's provincial curling championship, was held from February 1 to 7 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, Ontario. The winning Glenn Howard rink represented Ontario at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier in Ottawa. The Howard rink from Toronto defeated the John Epping rink (also from Toronto) in the final. Ontario Tankard
The Ontario Tankard is the Southern Ontario provincial championship for men's curling. The winner represents Team Ontario at the Tim Hortons Brier. The tournament is overseen by CurlON (formerly the Ontario Curling Association). Northern Ontario has its own provincial championship, known as the Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Curling Championship.
