Ian Anderson (baseball)
Ian Theodore Anderson (born May 2, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels. Anderson was selected out of high school by the Braves with the third overall pick of the 2016 MLB draft, and made his MLB debut in 2020. Anderson won a World Series ring in 2021 as a member of the Braves. Amateur baseball Anderson played in the 2013 14-and-under Babe Ruth League World Series in Moses Lake, Washington, with his team from Clifton Park, New York. Anderson's team finished third, and he was named to the all-defensive team as a pitcher. The squad was managed by Tom Huerter, father of teammate and future NBA player Kevin Huerter. Mississippi Braves
The Mississippi Braves, or M-Braves as they were referred to locally, were a Minor League Baseball team based in Pearl, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson, from 2005 to 2024. The Florida Fire Frogs were a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League from 2017 to 2020. The Danville Braves were a Minor League Baseball team in Danville, Virginia. They were an Advanced Rookie-level team in the Appalachian League and were a farm team of the Atlanta Braves.
