Iain McColl
Iain McColl (27 January 1954 – 4 July 2013) was a Scottish film and television actor, best known for his roles on British television series. McColl starred on ''City Lights'', a BBC Scotland sitcom, from 1984 to 1991. He then co-starred on the BBC Two sitcom, ''Rab C Nesbitt'' during its first run (1988–1999). He rejoined the cast of ''Rab C Nesbitt'' again when the show was revived in 2008. Additionally, he appeared in guest spots on numerous other television shows, including ''Hamish Macbeth'', ''Still Game'' and ''Taggart''. McColl was also cast in a small role in the 2002 American film, ''Gangs of New York'', directed by Martin Scorsese. ''Still Game'' is a Scotland, Scottish sitcom produced by Effingee Productions, The Comedy Unit and BBC Scotland. It was created by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who played the lead characters, Jack Jarvis (Still Game character), Jack Jarvis, Esq and Victor McDade, two Glasgow, Glaswegian pensioners. The characters first appeared in the pair's previous TV sketch show ''Chewin' the Fat'', which aired in Scotland from January 1999 until December 2005. ''The Tales of Para Handy'' is a Scottish television series set in the western isles of Scotland in the 1930s, based on the Para Handy books by Neil Munro (Hugh Foulis), Neil Munro. Gregor Fisher
Gregor Fisher (born 22 December 1953) is a Scottish comedian and actor. He is best known for his portrayal of the title character in the comedy series '' Rab C. Nesbitt'', a role he has played since the show's first episode in 1988. He has also had roles in films such as ''Without a Clue'' (1988), ''Love Actually'' (2003), ''The Merchant of Venice'' (2004) and '' Whisky Galore!'' (2016). Early life Fisher was born in Menstrie, Clackmannanshire, and following the death of his mother was brought up in Edinburgh, Langholm, and Neilston and attended Barrhead High School. ''Taggart'' is a Scottish detective fiction television programme created by Glenn Chandler, who wrote many of the episodes, and made by STV Studios for the ITV network. It originally ran as the miniseries ''Killer'' from 6 until 20 September 1983, before a full series was commissioned that ran from 2 July 1985 until 7 November 2010.
