Natalia Willy Druyts (born 3 December 1980), known mononymously as Natalia, is a Belgian singer. She became known in Flanders during the VTM (TV channel), VTM program ''Idool 2003'', in which she finished in second place. She is currently a coach in Flemish TV-programs ''The Voice van Vlaanderen'', while also being a former coach on ''The Voice Kids (Belgian TV series), The Voice Kids'' and ''The Voice Senior (Belgian TV series), The Voice Senior''. Early life and career Natalia was born on 3 December 1980 in Geel, Belgium. Her parents had always lived in Oevel, a village close by the Geel municipality. She graduated as a translator in English and Spanish. Before 2003 Natalia was the singer of a small music group in Gierle (Belgium). This group was only known in the area of Turnhout (Belgium) and Westerlo (Belgium), where they had some performances. Geel
Geel () is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of Antwerp, which acquired city status in the 1980s. It comprises Central-Geel which is constituted of 4 old parishes a/o towns: Sint-Amand, Sint-Dimpna, Holven and Elsum. The Antwerps Sportpaleis () (to be renamed to AFAS Dome effective 1 September, 2025), also called Sportpaleis Antwerpen, Sportpaleis Merksem or simply the Sportpaleis, is an arena in Antwerp, Belgium. It is a multipurpose hall used for organizing concerts, sporting events, festivals, and fairs. The arena was built for sport, especially track cycling, but there is now little sport there, an exception being the Diamond Games tennis. This Time is the first album of Natalia Druyts, a Belgian singer. It was released on 3 November 2003. Seven of the fourteen tracks are covers, the other seven are own songs. They did it because there wasn't enough time to make fourteen own songs. "Higher Than The Sun" (beginning "Your love's like a symphony..") was released as her third single. It peaked at number two in the charts. In April 2004 a new version of the album was released, including the single ''Higher Than The Sun''. ''Natalia'' performed this song on stage for the preselections of the Eurosong contest of Belgium. She ended up second, after Xandee. In fall 2004 she received platinum for the sales of the album. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published; one is on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. The Ladies of Soul is a Dutch supergroup consisting of Candy Dulfer, Berget Lewis, Trijntje Oosterhuis and Edsilia Rombley. Glennis Grace, another founding member, left in 2024. VRT 1 is a public Dutch-language TV station in Belgium, owned by the VRT, which also owns Ketnet, VRT Canvas and several radio stations. The MIA's, in full Music Industry Awards, are Flemish music prizes that are awarded by the VRT in collaboration with Music Centre Flanders. The prizes replace the ZAMU Awards, last awarded in 2006. The abbreviation MIA is a wink to ''Mia'', a song by Gorki. History The first MIA's were the 2007 MIA's, the winners of which were revealed on 30 January 2008; the show was broadcast by '' Eén'' two days later.
