''I Am Nemesis'' is the eighth full-length album by the German metalcore band Caliban, which was released on 3 February 2012 on Century Media. Background Lyrically, ''I Am Nemesis'' is a continuation of the band's last record, '' Say Hello to Tragedy'', and focuses on controversial and often overlooked world issues. The guitarist Marc Görtz told: ''"The album breaks new soil without forgetting our roots. There are new influences such as shimmering guitar melodies and technical grooves with Meshuggah-like heaviness. It was important to us to have an elaborate album without any fillers. Additionally, the sound of the album is the best we've ever had by far: it is heavy and brutal without being chaotic."'' Caliban (band)
Caliban are a German metalcore band from Essen. To date, they have released thirteen studio albums and two EPs, along with two split albums with Heaven Shall Burn. History Caliban was formed in Essen, Germany in 1997 as Never Again. In the beginning, the band consisted of vocalists Andreas Dörner and Marc Ulfig, guitarists Björn Kaiser and Marc Görtz, bassist Engin Güres and drummer Kai Kogelheide. With this lineup, a self-titled demo was recorded. After six months of playing together and several member changes – Ulfig, Kaiser and Kogelheide left, the latter were replaced by Claus Wilgenbusch and Robert Krämer – the band recorded two songs for a Demo (music), demo, which was never released. "High Hopes" is a song by English rock band Pink Floyd, composed by guitarist David Gilmour with lyrics by Gilmour and Polly Samson. It is the closing track on their fourteenth studio album, ''The Division Bell'' (1994); it was released as the second single from the album on 10 October 1994.
