ISSMA
The Indiana State School Music Association, Inc. is a scholastic music association, with a mission to provide educationally evaluated music performance activities for the students and teachers of the state of Indiana, to assist in the development of performance-oriented assessment of state and national musical academic standards, and to offer educational support to fulfill this mission. The Northern Indiana School Band, Orchestra, and Vocal Association was integrated into the ISSMA in 1980. ISSMA-sponsored events and contests include Solo & Ensemble auditions, Marching band festivals and competitions leading to the ISSMA State Finals, and Concert Choir, Orchestra, and Band State Finals. Indiana Marching Band State Finals
{{unreferenced, date=January 2011 The Indiana Marching Band State Finals is a competition for marching bands governed by the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA). ISSMA has sanctioned the event annually since 1981; from 1973 until 1980 the top bands from the NISBOVA and ISSMA circuits met in the All-State Marching Band Contest. Format Bands are split into four classes—A, B, C, and D—determined by the size of the school the band represents, though bands are permitted to participate in the class immediately larger than the one they would otherwise be assigned to if they wish. Prior to 1983, bands were assigned to one of seven District sites around the state. Lucas Oil Stadium
Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in downtown Indianapolis, downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It replaced the RCA Dome as the home field of the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). It opened on August 16, 2008. The stadium was constructed to allow the removal of the RCA Dome and expansion of the Indiana Convention Center on its site. Penn High School
Penn High School is a public high school located in Mishawaka, Indiana, United States, near South Bend. It is the only high school in the Penn-Harris-Madison (PHM) School Corporation. The district includes all of Osceola and portions of Granger, Mishawaka, and South Bend. History Penn High School was opened on September 1, 1958, following a year of construction and a cost of $1 million. The first graduating class, the class of 1960, had roughly 200 seniors.
