ISPS Handa Australian Senior Open
The Australian Senior Open was an event on the PGA Legends Tour. It was run by Golf Australia. From 2007 to 2012 it was hosted by ISPS Handa and titled as the Handa Australian Senior Open. The final event was in 2012. Gary P. Wolstenholme MBE (born 21 August 1960) is an English professional golfer. Wolstenholme is known for his long amateur career and now plays on the European Senior Tour. Early life and amateur career Wolstenholme was born in Egham, Surrey. His father was Guy Wolstenholme a professional golfer. He has won The Amateur Championship twice (1991, 2003) as well as many other amateur tournaments around the world. He has played on six Walker Cup teams and is the all-time points leader for the Great Britain and Ireland side. Professional career In September 2008, at the age of 48, Wolstenholme turned professional in anticipation of playing senior professional golf in 2010. Noel Ratcliffe
Noel Anthony Ratcliffe (17 January 1945 – April 2024) was an Australian professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Ratcliffe turned to golf late for a future professional, and didn't own a set of clubs until he was twenty-one. At university he studied pharmacy and worked for an insurance company and in public service. Professional career In 1974, Ratcliffe turned professional. Like many Australian golfers of his era, he divided his time between the PGA Tour of Australia and the European Tour. In his regular career he won three titles in Australasia and two in Europe, where his best year was 1978 when he finished 11th on the Order of Merit. After turning fifty he was successful on the European Seniors Tour, where he topped the Order of Merit in 2000, made the top five on four other occasions, and won eight tournaments. Robert J. Shaw (born 24 December 1944) is an Australian professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour in the 1970s. Career Shaw was born in Sydney, Australia. In 1965, Shaw turned professional. He played in Europe in 1968, winning the Spanish Open. Later in the year he qualified for the PGA Tour at 1968 APG Tour Qualifying School. His best finishes in PGA Tour events were a T-2 at both the 1969 Tallahassee Open and the 1971 Greater Milwaukee Open plus a win at the 1972 Tallahassee Open with a 15-under-par 273 by two strokes over Leonard Thompson. His best finish in a major was T20 at the 1972 PGA Championship. Michael Andrew Clayton (born 30 May 1957) is an Australian professional golfer, golf course architect and commentator on the game. He won the 1984 Timex Open on the European Tour and won six times on the PGA Tour of Australasia between 1982 and 1994. Amateur career Clayton was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He had a very successful amateur career which included the 1978 Australian Amateur, and the Victorian Amateur in 1977 and 1981. Terry Price (golfer)
Terry Price (born 27 December 1960) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life Price was born in Rockhampton, Queensland. Professional career Price turned professional in 1978 at age 17, joined the PGA Tour of Australasia in 1986. He won his first tournament in 1988 at the non-Order of Merit Queensland PGA Championship. He has since won five official events on the tour, in addition to several more victories both in Australia and internationally. Price has also played on the European Tour. He played three seasons in the early 1990s, finishing just inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit in 1994 and 1995, before losing his card at the end of 1996.
