INS Kora (P61)
INS ''Kora'' is the lead ship of the Kora-Class of 1,350-tonne guided missile Corvettes in active service with the Indian Navy. The vessel was built at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) and outfitted at Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL). She is equipped with 3M-24 Anti-Ship Missiles as a primary weapon, with two Strela-2M Anti-Air Missiles as defensive weapons. History ''Kora'' was on a goodwill visit to Singapore in 2001. On 31 October 2014, ''Kora'' was in collision with the cargo ship MV ''Madeleine Rickmers'' in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Vishakhapatnam. ''INS Kora'' participated in the 2015 SLINEX training exercises from 27 October to 1 November. Kora took part in LIMA in 2017. Garden Reach Shipbuilders And Engineers
Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, abbreviated as GRSE, is one of India's leading shipyards, located in Kolkata. It builds and repairs merchant shipping, commercial and warship, naval vessels. GRSE also builds export ships. Founded in 1884 as a small privately-owned company on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, it was renamed as ''Garden Reach Workshop'' in 1916. The company was nationalised by the Government of India in 1960. It was awarded the Miniratna status, with accompanying financial and operational autonomy in September 2006. The 9K32 Strela-2 (russian: Cтрела, "arrow"; NATO reporting name SA-7 Grail) is a light-weight, shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missile (or MANPADS) system. It is designed to target aircraft at low altitudes with passive infrared homing guidance and destroy them with a high explosive warhead. Broadly comparable in performance with the US Army FIM-43 Redeye, the Strela-2 was the first Soviet man-portable SAM – full-scale production began in 1970. While the Redeye and 9K32 Strela-2 were similar, the missiles were not identical. Rajput-class Destroyer
The ''Rajput''-class guided-missile destroyers built for the Indian Navy are modified versions of Soviet s. They are also known as Kashin-II class. The ships were built in the former Soviet Union after considerable Indian design modifications to the Kashin design. These included the replacement of the helicopter pad in the original design with a flight elevator, as well as major changes to the electronics and combat systems. SLINEX
SLINEX (Sri Lanka India Naval Exercise) are a series of naval exercises between the Indian Navy and the Sri Lanka Navy. The first SLINEX exercise took place in 2005. The eighth edition took place in 2020. SLINEX 2013 SLINEX-13 was conducted off the coast of Goa from 04 – 07 Nov 13. INS Talwar and SLNS Sagara participated in the exercise.
