II-64 Road (Bulgaria)
Republican Road II-64 () is a 2nd class road in Bulgaria, running in direction north–south entirely through the territory of Plovdiv Province. Its length is 54.5 km. Route description The road starts at Km 268.5 of the first class I-6 road in the southeastern part of the town of Karlovo and heads south through the Karlovo Valley. It passes through the western reaches of the spa town of Banya, crosses the river Stryama, goes through the easternmost part of the Sashtinska Sredna Gora mountain range and at the village of Pesnopoy enters the Upper Thracian Plain. Stryama
The Stryama ( bg, Стряма , known in Antiquity as ''Syrmus'') is a river in southern Bulgaria, an important left tributary of the Maritsa. The river is 98.7 km long and has a drainage basin of 1,490 km2. The Stryama has its source in the Balkan Mountains under Vezhen Peak, named ''Kameniditsa'' in this section, turning east at Stryama Station to pass close to Klisura and turn southeast at Rozino entering the Karlovo Plain. It then makes a turn south at Banya, forming the ''Stremski prolom'' (Stryama Gorge) between the mountains Sashtinska and Sarnena Sredna Gora, where the Dalga Vada separates from it to later flow into the Maritsa as a separate river. Trud is a village in Southern Bulgaria, located in Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Province. The total population count as of the June 2020 Census is 4017 people. Geography Trud village is in the Upper Thracian Plain, 11 kilometers North from the city of Plovdiv. The average elevation of the village is 175 meters above sea level. Graf Ignatievo (, ) is a village in Maritsa Municipality, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 2015 inhabitants. The village is named after a Russian diplomat- Count Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev, who played an important role as an ambassador of Russia in Istanbul for the conclusion of the Treaty of San Stefano that called for the creation of Greater Bulgaria. Karlovo ( bg, Карлово ) is a historically important town in central Bulgaria located in a fertile valley along the river Stryama at the southern foot of the Balkan Mountains. National Road I-6 () is a major road in Southern Bulgaria. It runs from Gyueshevo at the border with North Macedonia and Burgas on the Black Sea coast.
