Identity Management
Identity and access management (IAM or IdAM) or Identity management (IdM), is a framework of policies and technologies to ensure that the right users (that are part of the ecosystem connected to or within an enterprise) have the appropriate access to technology resources. IAM systems fall under the overarching umbrellas of IT security and data management. Identity and access management systems not only identify, authenticate, and control access for individuals who will be utilizing IT resources but also the hardware and applications employees need to access. The terms "identity management" (IdM) and "identity and access management" are used interchangeably in the area of identity access management. Identity-management systems, products, applications and platforms manage identifying and ancillary data about entities that include individuals, computer-related hardware, and software applications. IdM covers issues such as how users gain an identity, the roles, and sometimes the ...

Integrated Data Management
Data management comprises all disciplines related to handling data as a valuable resource, it is the practice of managing an organization's data so it can be analyzed for decision making. Concept The concept of data management emerged alongside the evolution of computing technology. In the 1950s, as computers became more prevalent, organizations began to grapple with the challenge of organizing and storing data efficiently. Early methods relied on punch cards and manual sorting, which were labor-intensive and prone to errors. The introduction of database management systems in the 1970s marked a significant milestone, enabling structured storage and retrieval of data. By the 1980s, relational database models revolutionized data management, emphasizing the importance of data as an asset and fostering a data-centric mindset in business. This era also saw the rise of data governance practices, which prioritized the organization and regulation of data to ensure quality and complian ...

Integrated Document Management
A document management system (DMS) is usually a computerized system used to store, share, track and manage files or documents. Some systems include history tracking where a log of the various versions created and modified by different users is recorded. The term has some overlap with the concepts of content management systems. It is often viewed as a component of enterprise content management (ECM) systems and related to digital asset management, document imaging, workflow systems and records management systems. History While many electronic document management systems store documents in their native file format (Microsoft Word or Excel, PDF), some web-based document management systems are beginning to store content in the form of HTML. These HTML-based document management systems can act as publishing systems or policy management systems. Content is captured either by using browser based editors or the importing and conversion of not HTML content. Storing documents as HTML ena ...

Integrated Device Manufacturer
An integrated device manufacturer (IDM) is a semiconductor company which designs, manufactures, and sells integrated circuit (IC) products. IDM is often used to refer to a company which handles semiconductor manufacturing in-house, compared to a fabless semiconductor company, which outsources production to a third-party semiconductor fabrication plant. Examples of IDMs are Intel, Samsung, and Texas Instruments, examples of fabless companies are AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Zhaoxin, and examples of pure play foundries are GlobalFoundries, TSMC, and UMC. Due to the dynamic nature of the semiconductor industry, the term IDM has become less accurate than when it was coined. OSATs The term OSATs means "outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers". OSATs have dominated IC packaging and testing.http://semiengineering.com/tag/osats/ outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers (OSATs) Fabless operations The terms fabless (fabrication-less), foundry, and IDM are now ...

Integrated Direct Metering
In photography, through-the-lens metering (TTL metering) refers to a feature of cameras whereby the intensity of light reflected from the scene is measured through the lens; as opposed to using a separate metering window or external hand-held light meter. In some cameras various TTL metering modes can be selected. This information can then be used to set the optimal film or image sensor exposure ( average luminance), it can also be used to control the amount of light emitted by a flash unit connected to the camera. Description Through-the-lens metering is most often associated with single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras. In most film and digital SLRs, the light sensor(s) for exposure metering are incorporated into the pentaprism or pentamirror, the mechanism by which a SLR allows the viewfinder to see directly through the lens. As the mirror is flipped up, no light can reach there during exposure, the necessary amount of exposure needs to be determined before the actual exposure. Conse ...

Intelligent Driver Model
In traffic flow modeling, the intelligent driver model (IDM) is a time-continuous car-following model for the simulation of freeway and urban traffic. It was developed by Treiber, Hennecke and Helbing in 2000 to improve upon results provided with other "intelligent" driver models such as Gipps' model, which loses realistic properties in the deterministic limit. Model definition As a car-following model, the IDM describes the dynamics of the positions and velocities of single vehicles. For vehicle \alpha, x_\alpha denotes its position at time t, and v_\alpha its velocity. Furthermore, l_\alpha gives the length of the vehicle. To simplify notation, we define the ''net distance'' s_\alpha := x_ - x_\alpha - l_, where \alpha - 1 refers to the vehicle directly in front of vehicle \alpha, and the velocity difference, or ''approaching rate'', \Delta v_\alpha := v_\alpha - v_. For a simplified version of the model, the dynamics of vehicle \alpha are then described by the following two ...
