Hülya Koçyiğit
Hülya Koçyiğit (born 12 December 1947) is a Turkish actress. A prominent female lead in the Turkish cinema, she received numerous awards at international film festivals, including the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Altogether, she has acted in some 180 films. Biography Koçyiğit's father is a Turkish immigrant from Bulgaria. She grew up in Istanbul and finished her secondary education in Ankara, where she attended Atatürk High School for Girls. After she then enrolled in Ankara Academy of State Art's ballet department for education in the arts, she continued ballet department of Istanbul City Conservatory. She joined Istanbul City Theatre during her middle education. After Muhsin Ertuğrul suggested, she studied in theatre department of Ankara State Conservatory. Koçyiğit decided to venture into cinema in 1963 after she was the runner-up in a beauty contest organized by the magazine ''Ses'' (literally: ''Sound''). Kuzguncuk
Kuzguncuk is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Üsküdar, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 4,151 (2022). It is on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. The neighborhood is centered on a valley opening to the Bosphorus and is somewhat isolated from the main part of the city, being surrounded by nature preserves, cemeteries, and a military installation. Halit Refiğ
Halit Refiğ (5 March 1934 – 11 October 2009) was a Turkish film director, film producer, screenwriter and writer. He made around sixty films, including feature films, documentaries and TV serials. He is considered to be the pioneer of the National Cinema movement and the initiator of the production of TV serials in Turkey. Biography Halit Refiğ graduated from Şişli Terakki High School in 1951 and studied engineering at Robert College in Istanbul. Refiğ directed his first films in 8mm while he served as a military reserve officer in Korea, Japan and Ceylon. He wrote articles on cinema at newspapers in 1956 and published the ''Sinema Dergisi'' magazine together with Nijat Özön.
