Håkan Loob Trophy
The Håkan Loob Trophy is the annual award for the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) player who scores the most goals during the regular season. It was created by Svenska Hockeyligan and Canal+ in honour of Håkan Loob, who holds the SHL record for most goals in a season (42 goals). It was first handed out for the 2005–06 season, on Elitserien's 30 year anniversary. IF Björklöven
IF Björklöven (often simply referred to as Björklöven or Löven) is a Swedish professional ice hockey club in Umeå, Västerbotten, in northern Sweden. The club is currently playing in the second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan as of the 2014–15 season, but has played 15 seasons in the top Swedish league Elitserien (1976–77, 1978–79 to 1988–89, 1993–94, 1998–99 and 2000–01, becoming national champions in 1987). History IF Björklöven was formed in 1970 when the ice hockey sections of IFK Umeå and Sandåkerns SK were merged. The IFK Umeå team had already at times been referred to as 'björklöven' (the birch leaves) as a tongue in cheek reference to Canadian ice hockey and Umeå being known as the 'city of birch trees', and after the merger the nickname became the official team name. Erkki Laine
Erkki Juhani Laine (13 September 1957 – 22 August 2009) was a Finnish professional ice hockey forward. A two time Olympian, he won a silver medal with the Finnish national team at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He is the Lahti Pelicans franchise top all-time career point earner and goal scorer. Playing career As a child, Erkki Laine began playing ice hockey with the youth department of Kiekkoreipas in his hometown of Lahti. The first full season of his professional career was spent with the senior men’s representative team of Kiekkoreipas in the 1975–76 I-divisioona season. He led the team in scoring, earning 47 points (40 goals + 7 assists) in 36 regular season games, and ranked second for most goals scored in the I-divisioona (behind Markku Perkkiö‘s 45 goals with Kärpät).
