''Hypertext Magazine'' is an independent, non-profit social justice literary magazine headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 2010 by editor-in-chief Christine Maul Rice, the magazine publishes bi-annually with print and online editions. Subscriptions are free. In 2018, Hypertext Magazine received a "Gold Star Seal of Transparency" award from non-profit information service GuideStar. History The magazine was founded online in 2010 after freelance writer Christine Maul Rice attended the 2008 Story Week editorial panel at Columbia College. Hypertext Magazine expanded from solely an online literary magazine to bi-annual print magazine in 2017. After seven years of online distribution of content, the first print journal was published in 2017, with an intention of publishing two editions per year. Ron Burch is an American writer of television, film, plays, short fiction and novels. His movies include '' Head over Heels'', '' Yours, Mine and Ours'' and ''Ferdinand''. He was the executive producer/showrunner (along with David Kidd) of the DreamWorks Animation TV show ''Dinotrux''. Tara Betts
Tara Betts is the author of three full-length poetry collections: ''Refuse to Disappear,'' which was published in June 2022 with The Word Works, ''Break the Habit'', which was published in October 2016 with Trio House Press, and her debut collection ''Arc & Hue'' on the Willow Books imprint of Aquarius Press. In 2010, ''Essence Magazine'' named her as one of their "40 Favorite Poets". Betts was born in Kankakee, Illinois, and is the oldest of three siblings. Eileen Favorite (born September 10, 1964, in Chicago) is an American writer and teacher and living in Chicago, Illinois. She received a B.A. in English with a French concentration from the University of Illinois, Urbana. In 1999, she received an MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Elle Nash is a British-American editor and author based in Glasgow, Scotland. She is best known for her debut novella '' Animals Eat Each Other''. Marcia Aldrich
Marcia Aldrich is an American author of literary nonfiction and memoir. Early life and education Marcia Aldrich was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pomona College, in Claremont, California, and earned a master's in creative writing and a doctorate in English literature at the University of Washington.
