''Hydrangea integrifolia'' is a species of flowering plant in the family Hydrangeaceae, native to Taiwan and the Philippines at elevations above 8,000 ft. (2,400 m.). It grows in partially shaded areas and on coastal cliffs under salt spray. Deadheading is the horticultural practice of removing spent flowers from ornamental plants. Deadheading is a widespread form of pruning, since fading flowers are not as appealing and direct a lot of energy into seed development if pollinated.
