Hunts Corners (also Hunt's Corners or Moorehead) is an unincorporated community in southeastern Lyme Township, Huron County, Ohio, United States. It lies at the intersection of State Route 547 and Sand Hill Road, southeast of Bellevue and southwest of the city of Norwalk, the county seat of Huron County. Its elevation is 768 feet (234 m), and it is located at (41.2275540, -82.7574062). Hunts Corners is among Huron County's oldest communities. Tusten is a town in Sullivan County in the U.S. state of New York. The population was 1,515 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from Benjamin Tusten, a military leader killed at the Battle of Minisink. The Town of Tusten is located in the southwestern part of the county. History The town was previously part of the Towns of Mamakating and Lumberland in 1853. Benjamin Homans was the first settler, setting himself up by Narrowsburg. The Ten Mile River Baptist Church and Tusten Stone Arch Bridge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Geography The western town line, delineated by the Delaware River, is the border of Pennsylvania. Hunt's Cross
Hunt's Cross is a suburb of Liverpool, England. It is located on the southern edge of the city, bordered by the suburbs of Woolton, Allerton, Speke and Halewood and delineated by the West Coast Main Line, Hillfoot Avenue, Merseyrail Northern Line and Mackets Lane. History Hunt's Cross was the name given to the ancient cross-roads at Speke Road, Hillfoot Avenue and Woodend Avenue, which formed the southern boundary of Much Woolton. The available evidence indicates that the cross-roads was called Hunt's Cross because of fox hunts meeting there before setting off. There was also a nearby monument called 'Hunt's Folly', shown on historical maps along with Honey Hall, Woodend Farm and Rose Farm. The 'Liverpool Hunt' is commemorated by a collection of fine china tableware by Booths. In the 1960s the medieval stone pedestal of the village cross had to be moved a short distance, to the corner of Hillfoot Road and Speke Road, to allow Hillfoot Avenue to be widened.
