Hunt The Man Down
''Hunt the Man Down'' is a 1951 American crime film directed by George Archainbaud and starring Gig Young. Plot When loner Bill Jackson (James Anderson) prevents a robbery at the bar where he works, the ensuing media attention reveals that he is actually Richard Kinkaid, a fugitive wanted in connection with a 12-year-old murder case. Public defender Paul Bennett (Gig Young) believes that Kinkaid is innocent, but lacks fresh evidence to make his case. Now, with an innocent man's freedom in the balance, Bennett must find and interview the crime's original seven witnesses. George Archainbaud
George Archainbaud (May 7, 1890 – February 20, 1959) was a French- American film and television director. Biography In the beginning of his career he worked on stage as an actor and manager. He came to the United States in January 1914, and started his film career as an assistant director to Emile Chautard at the World Film Company in Fort Lee, New Jersey. In 1917 he made his own directorial debut '' As Man Made Her''. During the next three and a half decades he directed over one hundred films. After the beginning of the 1950s he moved to television. While working at RKO Radio Pictures in the beginning of the 1930s, he showed some artistic and skillful eye with many of his films. Eddie Muller (born October 15, 1958) is an American author and the founder and president of the Film Noir Foundation. He is known for his books about the ''film noir'' genre, and is the host of ''Noir Alley'' on Turner Classic Movies. He is also known by his moniker: the "Czar of Noir". Born in San Francisco, Muller studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and worked as a bartender. He next worked as a newspaper journalist for nearly two decades. In 1996, Muller wrote his debut non-fiction book ''Grindhouse'', with Daniel Faris. James Seay
James Seay (September 9, 1914 – October 10, 1992) was an American character actor who often played minor supporting roles as government officials. Early years Seay demonstrated an interest in acting at an early age, as he and his mother regularly attended Saturday matinees of a stock theater company in Pasadena, California. After working for an insurance company, he became a student at the Pasadena Playhouse.
