Hunt Club
Hunt Club is a community in River Ward, in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The area is named after the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, which was first developed in 1876. Hunt Club Road and many local businesses were also named after the golf course. Hunt Club is located just north of the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport and to the east of the Rideau River. The Hunt Club Community Organization defines the boundaries as the Rideau River to the west, the Airport Parkway to the east, the CN Albion line and Via Rail Beachburg Subdivision to the north, and Hunt Club Road to the south. Airport Parkway (Ottawa)
Airport Parkway ( Ottawa Route 79) is a parkway and two-lane expressway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It runs from the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport to an interchange with Heron Road where it turns into Bronson Avenue. Route description Airport Parkway is a two-lane expressway for most of its length, although since bicycles are permitted, it is not considered a controlled-access highway. It is home to one of Ontario's only two single-point urban interchanges at its Hunt Club Road exit. The speed limit is for its entire length. Airport Parkway begins after leaving the airport, where it immediately interchanges with Lester Road. The Parkway turns northwards and traverses through some forest before encountering Hunt Club Road, which it interchanges it with an SPUI, one of only a handful in Canada. Uplands, Ottawa
Uplands, also known as Elizabeth Park or Airport-Uplands is a neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the federal and provincial districts of Ottawa South, in the former city of Gloucester. It is bordered by the Hunt Club Road to the north, Uplands Drive to the east, and the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport to the south and west. The neighbourhood is adjacent to the military community living at CFB Uplands, which was a large air force base in the 1960s and which still contains residential housing for military members. The neighbourhood was first built around 1940. The neighbourhood was expanded eastward in the early 1960s. A newer neighbourhood named Wisteria Park was built around 2006 north of Uplands off of Hunt Club. Wisteria Park maintains its own community association. Blossom Park
Blossom Park is a neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south-end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Before the 2001 city of Ottawa amalgamation it was a suburb of the city of Gloucester. The current limits of the neighbourhood are: Hunt Club Road to the north, Airport Parkway to the west, Conroy Road to the east and the Greenbelt to the south (near Lester Road). According to the Canada 2016 Census, the population of the neighbourhood was 14,190. History The area was cleared and farmed by settlers who began to arrive in the early decades of the 19th century. Early settlers included Charles Kinmond, a native of Perthshire, Scotland, James Spratt, Leonard Wood (1805–1888) and his wife Martha (1821–1905) and John Halpenny (1818–1873) who hailed from Wicklow, Ireland. South Keys is a neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded by Johnston Road to the north, Albion Road to the east, the Airport Parkway to the west, and Hunt Club Road to the south. According to the Canada 2011 Census, the neighbourhood has a population of 2,849. The neighbourhood is part of the South Keys Greenboro Community Association. Ellwood is a neighbourhood and former railway point in River Ward, in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Riverside Park, Ottawa
Riverside Park is a neighbourhood in the south end of Ottawa, Canada. It is bounded on the north by Brookfield Road, on the east by the Airport Parkway, on the south by the CN rail tracks and on the west by the Rideau River. The neighbourhood includes one of Ottawa's most well known beaches at Mooney's Bay and the Terry Fox Athletic Facility, along with both Vincent Massey Park, Hog's Back Park. Gloucester Township, Ontario
Gloucester ( ) is a former municipality and now geographic area of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located east of Ottawa's inner core, it was an independent city until amalgamated with the Regional Municipality of Ottawa–Carleton in 2001 to become the new city of Ottawa.
