Alexander Huk
Alexander C. Huk is an American neuroscientist at The University of Texas at Austin. He is the Raymond Dickson Centennial Professor #2 of Neuroscience and Psychology, and the Director of the Center for Perceptual Systems. His laboratory studies how the brain integrates information over space and time and how these neural signals guide behavior in the natural world.  He has made contributions towards understanding how the brain represents 3D visual motion and how those representations are used to make perceptual judgments Education Huk received a BA from Swarthmore College in 1996, and earned his PhD from Stanford University under the supervision of David Heeger. Hukbalahap
The Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Hapon (), better known by the acronym Hukbalahap, was a communist guerrilla movement formed by the farmers of Central Luzon. They were originally formed to fight the Japanese, but extended their fight into a rebellion against the Philippine government, known as the Hukbalahap Rebellion, in 1946. It was put down through a series of reforms and military victories by Defense Secretary, and later President, Ramon Magsaysay. A monument dedicated to the Huks in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, was constructed to honor their actions during World War II. Constituted in March 1942, the Hukbalahap was to be part of a broad united front resistance to the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. This original intent is reflected in its name. ''Huk!'' is a 1956 American action film directed by John Barnwell and written by Stirling Silliphant and filmed in the Philippines. The film stars George Montgomery, Mona Freeman, John Baer, James Bell, Teddy Benavides and Mario Barri. The film was released on August 9, 1956, by United Artists. It is the first Philippine film of George Montgomery who would return to the islands in the 1960s to produce, direct, co-write and star in a number of Philippine films. Huk, Norway
Huk is a parkland and a sandy beach (Hukodden) at the furthest south of the Bygdøy peninsula west of the city center of Oslo, Norway. The area was acquired by Aker municipality in 1921. The naturist beach is on a shank northwest of Hukodden, formerly the garden of the brush manufacturer Jordan. The villa was later resold but the shoreline is still open for all.
