Hugo Borst
Hugo Borst (born 15 June 1962, Rotterdam) is a Dutch writer, editor, TV personality and critic (best known for his football critiques). Career Borst finished school when he was 18, the so-called havo. Although he never played professional football, he became a journalist for the magazine ''Voetbal International'' in 1985. After working for ''Voetbal International'' for six years he started to write for another magazine, ''Panorama''. He did that for three years only. He now writes columns for the ''Algemeen Dagblad'' (mostly about Football) as well for the magazine ''Esquire'', about love and sex. He also is one of the main editors for the soccermagazine ''Hard Gras''. Borst also appeared on Dutch television. An avid Sparta Rotterdam supporter, he was a regular guest in the soccer discussion program '' Studio Voetbal'' as well as regular guest in the current affairs program ''De Wereld Draait Door''. BNN (Dutch Broadcaster)
BNN or Bart's Neverending Network (formerly ''Bart's News Network'', as a pun on CNN) was a Dutch public broadcasting association supported by Netherlands Public Broadcasting. BNN was founded in 1997 by Bart de Graaff, Gerard Timmer and Frank Timmer and targeted teenagers and young adults. It produced entertainment and information television programming, radio programming, and feature films. Some of BNN's programming dealt with controversial subject matter, including most famously, a hoax reality special made to help raise awareness of the shortage of organ donors in the Netherlands. VPRO
The VPRO (stylized vpro; originally an acronym for , ) is a Dutch public broadcaster, which forms a part of the Dutch public broadcasting system. Founded in 1926 as a liberal Protestant broadcasting organization, it gradually became more social liberal than Protestant in the 1950s and 1960s, and the original meaning of the acronym was eventually dropped. In 1967, VPRO was the first broadcaster in the Netherlands to show a nude woman – Phil Bloom – on national television. The VPRO is known for sometimes producing avant-garde programs, documentaries and films. The target audience of the VPRO consists mainly of highly educated and creative people (e.g. artists, designers, scientists).
